3. In that world there is no proven cure shown for that time and in the book the cure is found like many years later from the current time so revealing the cure is risky too

Plus no 4... big question would be how does she know it'll work... which she can't answer. She'll be the first person in this timeline to be cured. She has absolutely no tangible proof and she's basically (in their eyes) experimenting with herself/just trying to treat symptoms like pain. They don't know there's a cure. So I think the North boys just think she's making her current life less painful/prolonging her life but believe she will enevitably die from this incurable disease.

I think there was like a half explanation, dunno if it was told on the manga tho. She did tell them that she is taking medication and is curable, didn't tell the symptoms so everyone thinks she is just lying to make them feel better. About the herbs she said she needs, the known effects are painkillers and some random plant that kills you without feeling pain.
She started saying she knows a cure but I can only say she didn't tell the symptoms as they ocurred before she could and every other character won't believe her anyways, like if she says 'hey, I know the cure but I will cough blood and lose my voice', then says the name of the herbs that are know for anything but curing, I don't think anyone would believe anything but her trying to die painlessly.

I quite like Diana's character outside of context. Whenever you see priests and things of the like abusing their power nothing visibly happens to them. Diana you can see the direct consequences of her actions. She stopped helping the common people and began only using her powers for one person. Not why they were given to her.
