If they are so widely believed and have a lot of power, they might even have enough to condemn a royal family member to execution on the basis of witchcraft or something(especially if they’re a royalty people didn’t know or thought that everybody hated)

Either way, her reputation would go way down, depending on what the temple says if the people are very pious in this era. She would end up also having her movements restricted or at least be given a punishment to appease the temple.

Yep! As long as the temple keep a good image, the people will believe in blind faith, instead of accepting the true reality of it all. It’s also stems from the desperation of their troubles and them believing that divine intervention is the only way to save them. And, if they forsake it, their lives will be ruined. So they rather not take that chance and choose to blindly believe, for the chance that god will save them from their troubles. They’re used to the bad conditions so they don’t even see the unfair reality the temple has subjected them to. It’s only because we and the mc have lived in the modern world that we can call out the bullshit for their medical system in that world.

Religion where their behaviour is very bad they used reverse psychology. Then legalisim. Then nit picking in a very bad way. I experience it. In some of the channel in youtube. It was done by a Baptist church members. I only write nice things then that person immediately ravage me with endless insult. And he won't back down either. So I ask some help. And now the person that I ask some help are facing that person with endless conversation never stop.. Last time I check their conversation that person that insulted me never he allso change. But the answer of the person I asked is just very calm in answering the it. Even if the words thrown at him are not nice.

Yeah it’s honestly insane, considering their religion usually literally says to treat everybody kindly, yet they behave like trash troglodytes whenever they hear a disagreeing belief lol. Like with Christianity, the hardcore evangelicals literally behave like how the Roman’s who crucified Jesus acted, yet they can’t seem to see or understand their own hypocrisy lol

It doesn’t help that a lot of religion’s recruitments sometimes come straight out of a how to make a cult handbook, I swear. Like, there are ones where if you decide to leave, you’ll be leaving your whole community and including your family, since that’s how much they have control over their believers. That’s literally cult behavior, yet some well known religions practice things like this. They are being called out for it, but some of them are still pretty wellknown and aren’t branded as a “cult” yet

Bad past doesn't excuse murder. It's like when some guys say they cheated on their girlfriend because their grandma died. It's utter bullshit. I didn't say you're hundred percent wrong but You should not compare one person's past with another. One of the differences here is that FL has a good mentor while the other has a bad one. i agree. i think its good to acknowledge that his backstory was well-written and that it made us understand his actions, but even more important to not let things such as pity and his good looks distract us from the evil things he did. its easy to forget that he killed hundreds to thousands of innocent people, and wasnt afraid to hurt the person he “loved” to feed his obsession

the plot twist was really good i have to admit, but it was unexpected. i liked the conflicts and villains they had and i didnt expect anything until the reveal so i wouldve been happy regardless who the main villain was
