Wouldn't be much he could say after that. If he tells her to give it to him, no, it's not his. If he says to give it back to the Duke, she tried and that's really not his call. If he tries to make it his call, I'd just remind him that although he may manage it, it's not HIS money, and that the Duke, who insisted she keep it btw, is the only person who gets a say.
God do I ever HATE characters who think they're way more important than they actually are. I hope she kicks him in the shin, if only to get him back for comparing her to Diana.

I just love him so much. I'm polyamorous myself, but tend to wish surprisingly few characters end up with multiple life partners; this story is one of the few. I wish they could all be happy in love together. Just one happy living snuggle pile
