Cheating is obviously not a good thing but I think we should cut the mc some slack bc he's been manipulated and abused for 7 years and this really messed with his psyche. So even though it's not right, it makes sense for him to still want to depend on his abuser and I feel pity for him before any hate.
Also, he's literally a fictional character and the author is not condoning cheating irl even though so many readers are taking it personal.
I agree but at the same time mental illness isn’t an excuse, it’s an explanation. if he voluntarily had sex with that man, that’s wrong and he’s completely responsible for that. So I can see why commenters are so mad

Yeah, he’s going through situations but he should sort himself out before going into another relationship knowing that the person cares deeply for him. It’s just wrong should have never accepted his love
