We're confusing mating and hunting! They're not the same thing... if anything in mating the males have to impress the females, they dont hunt them! I think that's only being discussed because of their differing predator/prey designation. He's basically confused wanting the eff the rabbit instead of eating it. I get it... kinda.. .
But leaving that, it is confusing using hunting and mating as the same thing... dominance in the pack too. We're blurring a lot of lines and using examples that aren't synonymous. In nature would a wolf /snake eat a dog/rabbit? Just the rabbit I guess? I mean a dog is a predator to a rabbit ffs! I just.... it's confusing and they just seem to only being explaining things as it becomes relevant. I don't know how important the nature of the animal is vs it's designation as prey or predator.
I get his point vaguely, he doesn't want to hurt him and lose control. And I guess it's tricky because of the crossovers in this story but what I'm taking from this is that having sex and being turned on will make him want to murder? I really don't think that's how it works for anyone so it's a huge stretch. Or is it that he'll just be too rough? I don't understand the issue! Be clear about what could happen. Is he going to murder him with sex or during/after it?
Last thing, I don't think there is any animal that effs for dominance... they fight. Unless you're talking about dogs humping? There's no penetrative there though right? I dunno just the whole premise is getting convoluted for me.

Overall, I think we could have cut about 30 chps in the middle and still have the same story told. The drag was intense! Finally interesting again. This is why I don't stop just because I'm bored. Only when seriously triggered to anger do I stop (≧∀≦)

So I thought this started strong. It felt cute and nice. Around ch 13 I was like 'oh no' but honestly other than just now ch24, ml is being OK as far as they go in this genre. There was consent and he made the relationship type pretty clear. I can work with this. He's clearly more invested than he realised. Don't like the initiating sex with someone who is asleep and drunk - it's rape tbh.
I thought this was just going to be a cute 'cold-hearted no nonsense ceo thaws to a genuine cutie patootie and his ray of sunshine personality' that'd be cute and it's kind of happening but not as gently as I'd hoped.
I am happy ml isn't coming into mcs life and ruining things, taking the debt and making him pay him back, he's not put off by how he lives. He doesn't look down on him for anything. He's kind of charmed by him without realising but clearly very jealous... not a healthy look.
Contriversial opinion - He's not obligated to help mc with his debt, especially since it's his dads debt and I'm sure will just rack up again anyway. I'm sure he'll end up getting involved with it all it's just a tricky thing when debt and romantic relationships collide. Unless he helps him get the dad to be fully liable and free mc of any and all liability for the debt. That would be good.
Oh also don't like the lying about his job... unnecessary as a lie. Overall, love the mc and u only want happiness for him. So shape up ML! Need to earn that ray of sunshine!
I wanna know how there's two golden haired women... I'm assuming asha is a fake? I'm kind of intrigued with the backstory and the plot enough that the sex is just annoying and in the way. I don't want to see her being taken advantage of and lied to during and about sex.

Amnesia plots are so overdone. How about you don't make your characters so irredeemable you have to make them forget what they did to be a better person. Just an idea.
Urgh, I don't hate them as much as some but it just feels lazy or like they wrote themselves into a corner. I hope there's a good reason for it.
This is an odd one. The content is awful, it's not BL or smut in my opinion but a hardcore sadly realistic depiction of abduction and rape, though in real life I don't think Minho would have survived so long/been allowed outside of the house without being thoroughly brainwashed first. The notes on the first few episodes are strange, no matter what the authors say outside of the story, I don't see many (who aren't psychopaths themselves) siding with the rapist. My reading of this story does not lead me to be on his side at all. His behaviours perfectly align with an abusive, narcissistic psychopath. This awful things he does followed by small acts of kindness are typical of abusers.
I want to see Minho get away or at least see an end where he is no longer tormented. It's like watching a horror film for me, you know it's not likely to end well but you still hope and that's why you keep watching/reading. To me this story is not about love or enemies to lovers or anything so lovely, it's a sad exploration of abduction and how one can survive or perish in those circumstances.
Edit : was naively hoping that wookyung would realise he needs to leave Minho alone physically, get him into therapy and just support his long road to mental recovery. I hoped he'd start thinking of him instead of himself. That he could support him in getting back to a stable place without the hope for love or sex in return. I'm so sad for Minho, he did bad things and had a bad misogynist attitude towards Duna but he doesn't deserve what's been done to him.
Just finished and... Wow I'm even more disappointed but if I look at it like a tragedy it kind of works. I don't think the author is trying to show this as a good thing or a good relationship but... They could have done something more meaningful with it. Letting him leave and build his life again could have been so inspiring but instead we get a sad tragic end where he goes right back to his abuser... Realistic but tragic.
She should take sick leave. Go off sick and then it explains your absence, sure she'll lose the project but in a grown up world, she can't handle it right now. The sensible thing to do is step down. You take the high ground and his victory from him by stepping aside.

Having some thoughts about his narcissim - yes I've been watching YouTube psychologists about the subject so take it as it is. Any attempt at changing without actual therapy and acknowledging his potential NPD, will always feel superficial and like a nacissits 'hoovering' tactic.
No actual reflection or change, just doing enough to get dan back in his inner circle. In reality this would happen and the abuse cycle would start all over again. But this is manwha so he'll have his internal struggle, miss Dan and then be fixed somehow and morph into the best boyfriend evvahhh (〜￣△￣)〜

The novel was way more graphic, MC was beaten way harder too, it was really obvious he didn't want it, he was barely conscious from oruman already, so the rape from Garon was even more gross. Oruman was also castrated and mutilated beforehand. It was really graphic... I also don't think Garon had so many facial expressions, especially not so much anger. He's kind of accepted he likes mc and wants him around no matter what he does (he knows everything he's doing, yes even the poison) but he'll destroy anything if he feels he's going to lose him physically, he does not yet care about the mcs mental state. Kind of like legs that won't walk, If you've read that. Ml who doesn't care about the state of their 'love' so long as they're close and alive, but eventually changes their mind and wants them happy and close.
Right, I don't get MCs attitude towards ML... like I do get it, he hates him for killing his mum and being a generally heartless bastard, BUT he wants him to have sex with him to poison him, so why does he complain about it? To keep up appearances? Despite him keeping it a secret why he hates him in particular... wouldn't it have made more sense to pretend to want it to kill him faster? I dunno, seems weird that he's literally trying to assassinate him with sex but doesn't want the sex. Could argue it's to be less suspicious but yhr inner monologue doesn't suggest that at all.

For those getting angry the uke isn't saying anything, I would suggest he's mulling over his options before making a bad decision and making things worse in panic or anger. It's actually a mature thing to do to wait a little and make your decision calmly. Hoping he does make a decision, not just wait for things to happen TO him.
I do hope he decides to ask the questions, though if i trmember correctly, he did ask a direct 'did you like me?' And got a hurtful lie so who knows ╮(￣▽￣)╭
