ok so i normally haate romance in stories like these, but at least let's not pretend he "doesn't care for her" nor like her, bc he literally says she's kind, attractive etc (saying she's exactly like his deceased wife) and his issue isnt that he doesnt like her, but that "she's too young and too good for him." those are not the same thing. His reasoning is that a similarly aged, average woman is the best fit, and likely what he would be capable of scoring as well. IF he went around thinking he deserved all the rich, gorgeous and young women he wouldnt be a character i liked anyhow, but a fucking prick
this is straight up one of the most hilarious stories ive read just bc the interactions are unnatural, the plot is terrible, the pacing is horrendous, characters are annoying, connections are non-existent and the sex is absolutely ridiculous like??? i laughed the whole damn way thru
