Same! I used to only read books with a high rating or if the majority of comments are positive, but I've just recently stopped doing that because people just can't be trusted lol. I'm now actually finding a lot of books with low ratings or negative comments, tend to get added to my favorites because they're actually good but just getting down votes for silly reasons. Now I just go off my own judgement and if it's good it's good, if it's not I drop it. Like I can already guess that this book is about to get even lower in ratings, without actually being read properly.

I’m leaning towards the crown prince now that he seems more logical than the ML however while the ML is impulsive and murderous he’s also infatuated with the MC and therefore would never hurt her intentionally. Although the crown prince used her his reaction to her expression suggests he felt guilty because she didn’t take it the way he thought she would. Not sure but I kinda like the crown prince more…
