I don’t know why, but the eyes are always popping no matter what emotions. I don’t know if it’s intentional or not, it just makes even the good moments look like something horrid is gonna happen. And it never does, gives me anxiety for no reason. If it’s unintentional, I suggest improving the eyes along with emotions, thank you.

I kinda see what you mean, but I believe it is intentional since it really fits with the theme and characters who are living in an unforgiving world and tackling daily hardships together, especially as a gay couple, which is pretty tabu in korea. I think it’s beautiful how that constant anxiety is portrayed in their eyes and I think a lot of people can relate to the feeling of constantly feeling uncomfortable in the world, despite there being some good moments. The feeling of uncertainty also goes in line with the new and curious love they have for each other, They must be pretty nervous, and every boundary they cross will feel like a whole new world. :3

What a weird WEBTOON. Very boring and annoying. I was really interested in the plot and didn’t like the way the plot progressed either.

i kinda agree with you, I don’t understand how it’s so popular? i mean, the plot is somewhat interesting I guess, the art is OK to me (but that’s only my opinion!) and the only thing that everyone is really talking about it zhenya being extremely toxic and comparing him to caesar. Also the occasional hetero scenes really throw me off. But it’s everyone’s own opinion of course !

The sinful things you are talking about—can you elaborate on them more? Because lgbtq is still seen as taboo or sin by many, Films such as "Avengers" have lots of so-called killing machines. And people loved it. So people who love those films are also sinful?
As you said, people are reading this for their fetishes, and I think there is nothing wrong with liking this kind of story as long as it doesn't harm anyone in the real world.

I believe OP is talking about murder, abuse and all that of zhenya’s long list of things he’s done and not the fact that this is a piece of LGBTQIA+ media. I really agree with you though, liking dark romance and toxic stories isn’t as frowned upon as liking true crime, action movies where people are killed - and comparing this to peoples’ character is wrong as well.
I think OP meant that people who just blindly consume this kind of media and just hype it the way this webtoon is hyped feed into the problem of rape, abuse and red flags being romanticized and normalized in the BL/manga community. I enjoy my fair share of manga in this genre as well but I do think it’s a problem how it’s always the same of very toxic and abusive tops just getting their way and in the end, being forgiven with barely and redemption!
Still, it’s important to keep this as a fantasy and the right people can differentiate between fiction and reality as you said!

Thanks for helping! That’s exactly what I meant! I am just trying to voice that people are trying to romanticize killing and such. I think that brings an impact in someone’s cognitive ability. I have seen people being unhinged and it wasn’t just in a fictional way, thinking it’s fictional. I am just scared. People can read these and they can also at the same time recognize that the characters are toxic and still like them, but I think romanticizing killing and abuse is too far, almost seems inhuman.

The way he talks about the past and the way he acts now, especially a few chapters back when he yelled at the uncle, shows that he never learned, never changed, and he never will. Why did the uncle keep quiet about something so serious? Haejoon could’ve been manipulated and abused. I guess he thought Haejoon was too young to know and the dad might do nothing. Still. But poor mom, I feel so bad for her. I wish I could see her alive, beautiful smiling face again.
His behavior just now towards woo won was a little infuriating. Hopefully, they resolve both of their issues without it escalating too much!
