It's a complex relationship as you can see. Juyeon actually has contradictory feelings towards jiwook. At the end of the novel it is explain that, even though he hates jiwook for the things he did to him, he can't leave him

Jiwook realizes at the end that he "enjoys" the pain that Jiyeon gives him, but in reality I think it just reflects how much manipulation and sorrow Jiyeon has put jiwook. It's a bad ending, but to they I think it was the only ending
