No amount of misery, neglect, abuse—both emotional and physical would justify all the things he did to Kim Dan. Let us all recite together, "A sad backstory does not excuse abuse toward another."
Always remember folks, an abuser aware of his abuse has no redeeming qualities. An apology does not erase the past filled with physical harm and sexual assault.
Kim Dan took money to service him. That does not automatically give Joo Jaekyung the pass to degrade, humiliate and force sexual advances on him.

Caelus is choosing to forgive Diana and Helios bcuz he feels nothing toward them anymore? I call bull. Caelus will never, COULD NEVER hate Diana. He was projecting himself on Hestia and on the long run started treating Hestia as a (better) replacement.
Oh my darling Hestia, she is literally going through an unfair existential crisis that no one, not even Caelus can share the burden. She is—a billion times justified for crashing out. We as readers hate Diana so much—how much she must despise her then taking into account everything she did to not lose her sanity in this world where she feels so misplaced?
Caelus wants to focus on their happiness? Then he should be cheering his wife on her big plans of entirely destroying the people she finds absolutely intolerable.
Reading the novel has given me such new perspectives. I'm loving Hestia's crash out here. It's better. I hope they continue this arc of hers and make Caelus suffer some for he needs to get a taste of what she's going through. And I hope they make it worse for him this time.

yeah idk if Nanjo-ssi thinks you're disgusting or not but I sure do. Don't act all pathetically in love if you can't even keep it in your pants. Hate people like that. Especially hate seeing characters who claim to want a certain someone so much but if they can't get them on a whim—hoeing around becomes their coping mechanism.

It was a disappointing chapter. And I guess, the disappointment continues? Oh.. Seo-In... Please get yourself into rehab or something and leave Yeongwoon-ah alone. You don't deserve him. You never will. Maybe in another life where you aren't a man who has lived a disgraceful life. A world where you're truly deserving of Yeongwoon.

I read comments and I see your different views. Here's my take... I hate how everything that Caelus says or does feels like he's treating Hestia as a replacement. Better one but a replacement nonetheless. Maybe it's the bad translation. But I can't shake this feeling off. You know what, Imma go read the novel.
It's not bad... just bad in the way that I don't like that Han Jei was in a relationship or that it took him less than a day to move on to Woo Seojin. I like LIKE Gisela for having the self-respect to let go of a man who put second to a friend. Good for her. But I dislike Han Jei.. and maybe somewhat Woo Seojin as well. That might simply be because I don't like people who lack virtue. Whoring around especially when you claim to be in love with someone is my biggest pet peeve.
