Novel readers, what's the age gap between Pete and Cecil? Seeing them in Kiss Me Liar, I really thought they were twins

    Toru September 17, 2025 2:14 pm

I don't remember reading how big the age gap is, but Josh made it a condition that he wanted to wait with a second child until after they were married.
If I have to guess he was most likely conceived on their honeymoon.
So Cecil is younger than Spence.
Pete in KMIYC main story is probably between 2 and 3 years old. I guess that Cecil ~3-4 years younger than Pete.
Both are probably so tall because of the Miller genes, the male alpha miller are all past 2m tall, with Chase being the smallest I think.

Oh hell nah. This is really disrespectful towards the uke, they're treating him like a baby who can't handle the fact that his family does not like him being gay. If I personally find out my family did what Jeongyun's family did, I'd be fucking livid. He's not some damn kid that's easily influenced the way they're claiming him to be, even blaming Chae-heon for their "baby" turning gay? Well, guess what? YOU'RE BABY'S BEEN GAY FROM THE START. And he probably didn't come out to y'all because he felt you'll react the way you did. And I'll forever be annoyed they didn't resolve the issue with Jeongyun's family because it's so important to him, he was getting anxious over it.

In real life, hiding anything from your partner regarding THEIR family would never work out. This is bullshit.

Used to think like that too, but I try to think this way. Objecttively as a reader lmao.

I think its really done to show how much the people around Jeongyun does ACTUALLY treats him like a baby. The family themselves isn't exactly a bad person because they eventually does accepted Chaehoon and even liked him so much now after knowing what kind of person he is. The kind of person that didn't deceive their baby and actually loves him with all his heart.

It does seem cruel but I guess some act of blaming others is more likely to happen irl too because they "didn't understand" at first yknow? Its probably how the author shows how the family of a gay men actually feels? I mean not all family will be so accepting at first, nor not all of them will kick the son's ass out immediately. This is probably to potray how a family that gets along well but didn't understand gay couple react.

I mean, Jeongyun would definitely get mad if he knows that Chae-hoon had been receiving hate from his family at the beginning. But it was a way Chaehoon and his family chose because they knows how kind and emphatetic he is that they're trying to "get a grasp" of what kind of world and what kind of person his partner is before Jeongyun finally decided to actually open up to them. Now, even if he opened up to them, it will just all be smiles and laugh! Cuz they've been preparing. There's even no need for the author to show the coming out scene because now they will obviously happy with it.

How is that? Does this able to change your way of seeing the story?

Still no. I'd get it if they were only dating for months, but the story ended with them already dating for a few years. His family found out a little early on in the relationship. A few years already passed and none of them made a move to inform Jeongyun that they're already aware he's dating Chae-heon, despite the author showing they accepted Chae-heon already. This is a shit move from all of them.

Welp I failed hahaha its okay though

But honestly Im curious, why should it matter that much if they have changed their mind and has already accepted Chaehoon? In the end when Jeong yun comes out and his family is very accepting, whether they tell him the truth or not, isn't the most important part is that they accepted him and chaehoon? They have been preparing themselves to accept their family's different orientation to make them feel relieved on the day he revealed his orientation. I think making this move sounds like shit is also a bit of overstatement, as it was done with goodwill and will also have a good result. It was a bit too overprotective, yes, but in the end it was done to "protect" their family/lovers. Maybe ur right, they still think of Jeongyun as the "baby" of the family, so they are being extra careful and overly protective. But it was done out of love, not any negative feelings. And maybe they didn't tell him for years because they wanted Jeongyun to "come out" by himself out of trust rather than making him feel as if he "get caught" by his family.

It may be a wrong moves or bad decisions, but it was not a shit move. They're not looking down on Jeongyun, they're "taking care" of him in their own way.

This is draining me and I'm not even Jungwoo,,, I'm all for mental health awareness but guys, please. IRL, you really should not be getting into a relationship if you're aware you have some issues to work on and THIS is exactly why. The tendency to self-sabotage and ruin a perfectly fine relationship is pretty fucking high, not to mention the effect it will have on your partner. IT IS NOT YOUR PARTNER'S ROLE TO FIX YOUR ISSUES FOR YOU. There's a healthy level of jealousy and insecurity that can still be addressed with assurance, but when it gets to Han Jiwon's level where nothing Jungwoo says seem to reassure him, the relationship is as good as over.

Personally I'll have this on hold for a while because Jiwon's self sabotage is triggering me hahahaha
