I love the peanut gallery in this manga. Like, stories that kinda break the fourth wall are great but this one, with a pretty serious plot, yet contains a fourth-wall-like-peanut gallery of interested maids and background characters just tickles me in a special way.
Kris's empire believes in classism, the blonde emperor's nation believes in equal rights and is hot. Also the equality religion may have been the original religion Bellas family believed in which is why they were slain in the first place? Please put her with the blonde guy instead lmao, Kris is a train wreck.

Right, currently there are two nations, that are both empires. Kris seems to want to unify both nations, but the biggest difference between them seems to be their religions. Although Kris seems to be the heir of the empire that believes in the religion that supports classism, it seems like he might actually believe in the other religion. I think this is what's happening.
The last story was only hinting at possible romance but the addition of it makes this story so much more complex and good. I'm looking forward to more updates!
There were three women introduced in the last part of the author's notes, so it would seem like there should have been 3 womens' stories?

And yet I still love coming to read this for the hilarity of the interactions. But pretty soon I feel like I'm gonna have to put it down because I'm so confused what each character's motivations are. Obviously duke hawthorn is manipulating Kai, but what do alicia and ares want each other to be doing? that's not clear at all
Alicia likes Ares. Ares doesn't like her back. Trying to avoid her to convince FML he isn't interested/not that kind of petty man who'd sleep with one person and date another at the same time. Ares is interested in FML. I mean it's been a while since I caught up with this but it seems pretty straightforward?
