I can’t help but feel insulted on Paulina’s behalf. Granted, she’s not feminine whether in appearance or behavior, but her personality & talents make up for whatever she lacks. She really doesn’t have any flaws but in their eyes is she only good enough for a 50 year old fart with adult kids? What the heck screw them

oh my god I just realised that Bum got killed by the police officer at the end! So in the end both Sangwoo and Bum get killed by him... gosh what a twisted ending
The last chapter. It’s true it’s an open ending, but I think from the way the story was leading to the end made it clear that this was it for Bum. He was and never will be over Sangwoo. His obsession lead him to fall as well. He was a spineless character without much backbone and couldn’t live without Sangwoo. Although its true that there’s a tiny possibility that he might not have died at the end, but by the police officers facial reaction at the end, Bum definitely got hit, and the crash must’ve been pretty bad. I really don’t think he survived it.
I stopped around chapter 110 since the plot had faded and now seeing the recent chapters, I'm just speechless. What's motivating the author to continue? Where is it going? Where's the conclusion? There's been no character development whatsoever. The art is so stiff, the story is not engaging, it's not objectively terrible but it's just feels incredibly underwhelming now. It's a bit superfluous.
I've been ignoring this webtoon for a while thinking it's just another one of those half assed stories with the same tired trope but oh my god this was such an amazing read! So entertaining and the characters are well fleshed out, I find myself observing the slightest gesture so I don't miss out on anything between the main couple.
But damn MC's brother is really an annoying guy with good intentions but too stupid to carry them out. He went to ML telling him about Ingrid's true love, and what did he think would happen? I guess he wanted to knock down his smugness a bit but what a failure. Telling his future brother in law that his soon wife to be is actually just using him to stay close to her old fling. Who wants to hear that they're only a second choice? And goddamn that wedding dress was soooo beautiful ! (/TДT)/
Thanks to whoever updates this I'll definitely try to support the author from tappytoon

What a pathetic uke. He couldn’t stand up to his parents, couldn’t stand up to his abusive ex, and couldn’t do anything to his brother. The author set him out to be such a willful and independent character but that facade collapsed after 10 pages. All he did was cry and then whooshhh, the seme appears and saves his crumpling life.
Certainly not and sorry if that came out like that. I just get frustrated because authors build up strong characters and then have them break down so fast. This is fiction, you don’t want such a heavy dose of reality when reading it. I wanted revenge slapping and him standing up for himself instead of being such a crying mess.
He did stood up to his ex but his ex forced rape on him again.. leaving the family house was how he deal with "standing up to the family" but considering they left him pretty much alone its already good enough? Plus in the matter of his first love, LGBT is still quietly NOT accepted in Japan (despite the BL, surpriseeeeeeeee), just explaining the context the manga took in, so the parents incident couldn't be helped. I feel what u are reading is the uke's character arc in finding true love. Otherwise its fiction. Love it hate it, ya gotta accept fiction is sometimes based on reality, not ur ideal of imagined fantasy.
You read that wrong. I said revenge-slapping. Meaning him taking revenge of some sort on those who abused him.
I get what you mean but I just don’t like weak characters who default to crying, especially since he’s a grown man, letting ppl walk all over him, it’s tedious to read, he enables it, I know he’s been traumatized, but doormats are frustrating. The ending left me unsatisfied, especially how the ex was able to walk away just like that. There were serious issues that were severely downplayed and instead of him properly facing them, the author gives us romantic happy ending. it’s nice readers can relate to the character, I’m complaining this story was just half assed
I somehow knew you would grip onto what I wrote about him being a grown man and ignore everything else...
look, there's no need to accuse me of this and that just because I dislike a character. I can't decide what will hurt someone's feelings all the time. If my comment triggers some ppl, that's sadly not my problem, there's no place for pc here. So just because there are abused victims in this world, I can't say anything bad about him and instead praise him for finding strength to move on? If you feel that strongly about this topic, then please feel free to reprimand all the commenters who fangirl all over Painter of the Night.
It's just a matter of difference in opinion. I made a negative comment about something negative, no need for a dissertation about all the poor victims and having no rights to judge them. You're getting disproportionately offended
