I know JJK saying Kim Dan has a defect seems harsh but I actually think this is a GOOD thing in their progress. Up until now, romance has been nowhere near the table because JJK has always viewed Kim Dan as some sort of product/service he transacted for. thats why he'll shell out money when he thinks its worth it, but get really pissed when Kim Dan does anything 'out of line', aka doing something JJK didn't want when he 'bought' Kim Dan(lets face it, their early relationship was truly transactional and besides JJK's aggression, it was otherwise ok).
Now, JJK is experiencing a new side of Kim Dan, particularly his flaws as a person(the defects). His manner of thinking and language is still harsh, but the fact that he sticks around rather than just opting for a new 'product', shows that he's on his way to viewing Kim Dan as an actual person. One with multiple facets, pros and cons, which is important for their relationship to grow.
With that said, Kim Dan almost seems to be moving backwards. He's grown emotionally and physically dependent on others and can't seem to function/survive alone at all. It's worse than how KD started, where he was even more broke and couldn't even spend time with his grandma. Personally, I don't love this backwards development and JJK just doesn't seem the most fit to take this issue on.
I don't think he's emotionally and physically dependent on others. Actually, it's absolutely normal and expected for him to be a mess after hearing his grandma (his only family in the whole entire world) was soon going to die. Plus, Kim Dan loved and appreciated Jaegeng and he was treated like he was pure shit.
Honestly, It's needed to be WAAAY kinder to Kim Dan now. He's sick because anyone with fucking feelings would be. He's a person.
Jaegeng's development is laughable, honestly, he needs to grow up, but I kinda agree with you. But nah, it's not such a big of a development no.
KD is sick, that's all. He needs care. And Jaegeng is there to care for him, so that's a good side of him.

It is something overlooked about Danny. I think him having more time and access to his grandmother is both and blessing and curse. Before, even though he was free to visit his grandmother, it was probably the companion ship of not only Jae but the entire gang! As they welcomed him and celebrated him. Now that he gave all that up, he possibly gotten more dependent (like you said).
Maybe one his journey is find comfort within him or learning that he is beloved beyond his grandmother.
I've no idea, but I do hope realize that he will be fine and that he isn't alone.(▰˘◡˘▰)
I love Yeongwoon holy crap, LIKE I GET IT NOW SEO-IN. Yeongwoon is literally a spot of sunshine in these backstories because the Seo-in's family, especially Jaewon, make me so uncomfy.
As of now, tbh I kinda love the way both parties are handling it. Like yes, he has been acting like someone already in a relationship. But he's also not demanding for it now that Kyuho has laid out his cards. This is a fair and reasonable reaction to someone that needs boundaries. The ML is kinda unique amongst standoff-ish ml's in webtoons. He prioritizes maintaining the relationships he cares about and that's why he doesn't want labels. I think the formality to him means that if the relationship sours, it'll end things much worse than if they just stayed friends.

Based on this backstory, Seo-in has more fire in him than i expected. My guess is that he approached the mc with such strong interest bc his 'brother' Jaewon was interested, since he did Judo too. In retaliation, Jaewon probably wanted to ruin the ML and MC's relationship by pretending to be Seoin and kissing someone else(idk where ppl are getting the idea that Seo-In and Jaewon kissed). There was no indication of the 'brother' going to their school so I'm assuming he didn't, and thus the MC didn't know there even was a brother until Jaewon came to bully him.
But the MC did know Seo-in's brother. In one of the earlier chapters, the doctor was talking to Seo-in after Yeongwoon dropped him off home that he hasn't changed a bit and it seems like just yesterday that he would come over to their (Seo-in's) house and the three of them would hangout together.
I liked the more mild obsession in the beginning but this is like way far. Im not gonna lie, this is somehow worse than all those kidnapping MLs all over the web, bc now he's not only drugging someone, the ML is also doing it with ILLEGAL drugs that he knows almost nothing about. The risk is so high that I can't imagine anyone in love would do it. It's wildly different from those webtoons with ultra rich ML's that procure a highly secretive drug. This ML is literally picking up drugs from a back alley from a person he clearly doesn't know or care for that much.

I love that Garam insists on dealing with this in the quickest way possible, instead of doing things like meeting up later in a cafe to talk or wtv. Hes literally like, ima do this in 5 mins while on the clock.
