Ahhh, I see this author is using the Korean definition of police and not the US definition. Over here the police have no obligation or duty to save anyone, and in fact are trained not to help anyone ever and to treat everyone, including children caught in the crossfire, as dangerous criminals.
I'll have to remember this as I keep reading because it's very unbelievable that any cop would care about not rescuing someone, lol.
Yeah I always struggle to suspend my disbelieve when I read these Korean stories about police.
I've never once seen cops in manhwa break into some random yard just to shoot a dog as they walk by. They never randomly execute civilians just for being minorities. They don't stand outside of mass shooting events drinking coffee until the killer kills themselves, then they go in and handcuff all the victims.

This dude literally said that he is lying to you. He already promised he wouldn't hurt your brother and then immediately said he was lying and that he was going to hurt your brother. Now he is, yet again, promising not to hurt your brother. This all happening in the same conversation. It's been minutes, not hours not days, literally minutes since he told you that he's lying to you and will hurt your brother either way.
You know he's lying... Unless you're Asil, then you just blindly believe him because you have a traumatic brain injury and are incapable of forming short-term memories.
Anyone defending this has forgotten that this man is supposed to be the top of his class. He is supposed to be an amazing military genius who is dedicated to his country. He has gone through years of training to be a military officer... The author is doing him so dirty right now.
