I don’t think you know a lot about the bdsm scene. Yes a safeword is fine but when the Dom says just say stop that „stop“ is the safeword. And trust me, experienced doms can read the room quite well. But they’re humans with pleasure too! I mean that’s the meaning when playing. So it’s totally fine to like ruining the sub. He stopped as soon as he saw it was too much to handle.

it's understandable if you put it that way. but you can't deny that it's always and commonly best to discuss anything before attempting it especially if the partner is a virgin and a bdsm first timer. as someone who enjoys bdsm i literally felt uncomfortable when the sub starting writhing bc the reaction was nowhere near pleasure it was literally a mixture of fear uncertainty and shock and i don't like that this was the aftermath of sth the sub was sadly anticipating but didn't get fulfilled. it's good that the dom stopped you can tell he's good person and a good practitioner of bdsm but it's still worth critisising his haste and shallow demeanour bc none of this would've happened if they either talked abt their do's and don'ts. and btw "stop" doesn't necessarily equal "halt action" or "wait", it could be translated as "more" or even ignored under other circumstances especially if the sub could mentally endure more that's why it's safest to either settle on a different word or on the colour system just to avoid misinterpretations. it's not that idk abt bdsm it's just that i'm sick of authors portraying it incorrectly for the sake of dark romance or feeding some sick toxic dynamics between the dominant male lead and the mc which is such a turn off to me. there're lots of manhwas and mangas abt bdsm and only a few of them are written well enough to enjoy!

Personally I like the realistic touch to it. And people won’t get traumatized by everything. The rl is not perfect and yet humans can enjoy these imperfect situations and learn a bit more every time
