It doesn’t make sense for him to say “I had a crush on him” and then follow up by saying “ I (used to think) about how great it would be if he were my dad.” They’re two very different statements (and I would say very inappropriate in the context of what he’s talking about.) However, him saying “he made me do it” isn’t a mistranslation!

Yeah, I checked the raws ,”he made me do it” was UNFORTUNATELY correct but as you and other mentioned “I had a crush…” was not correct and very inappropriate,he says “… 좋아했었다” which it could literally be translated as “I liked …” which he means as a father figure!

It’s a work matter not his personal life to keep it to himself, and also considering how much love about JK , he should have known if not him then they could get another team member to help them , so it’s no longer about his unrequited love but JK ‘s profession is at stake which I’m sure Dan himself cares about it a lot!

That’s right, personally this is the biggest criticism I have with this story and similar ones, an adult man who can’t act like an adult, everything happens he immediately starts tearing up, I can completely understand if he has trouble with expressing his thoughts and emotions and the frustration when the other person is not willing to listen but at job you need to be professional ! He’s a good person maybe a lil too good but completely stuck in his own head space , like how he work his ass off to keep the grandma a little longer, to buy Jk a birthday present or tip toeing in order not to cause any disturbance , these are all good but not the things that other person need or the situation asks for, he’s not mature and I’m looking forward to his character development which’s been long overdue!

It's not that uncommon when you consider how he did grow up. He's an outsider of society because of its poverty and how he grow up with his only grandma for his entire life. That means he hasn't experienced anything remotely similar to what you might consider a normal childhood and he he is not what you might consider a somewhat well functioning human being. He doesn't understand cues, emotions, behaviours that to you might seem easy to understand and clear cut in their meaning. Society has a knack for breeding broken individuals on so many different levels you can hardly imagine.

Tbh, I see this helplessness of his character unrealistic and very exaggerated!

Lots of people go to university or even high school and yet you could very easily pass through such evnironment like a martian and in fact it does happen without many people noticing. You probably haven't dealt with such people in RL so obviously they look unreal to you in fiction, but they do exist and they're not uncommon. You have to remember that these kind of psycological problems are often exposed as shameful in society so even when the people get to know them, they tend to hide them because of the fear of being judged not so kindly. Look at your own words in your previous message. Nothing wrong with it, you were just expressing your likes and dislikes and yet by the way you phrased would you think somebody like Dan would approach you and talk to you or rather do the opposite? The same in the story, no matter how reasonable (the trainers) or unreasonable the person (Jaekyung), if he gets even the smallest cue it is not a good idea they would avoid doing anything. Some people don't live their life, they simply try to surf their way around it. In the case of Dan, such condition is likely determined by his poverty. How much of his university life do you think he lived when both his grandma and him had the same clothes in the graduation photos? How many friends parties do you think he went to? I think we don't need a full account of his past to understand that it wasn't that great or even what you could define normal.

Way more negative? I don’t think so, i read comments in some forum, even in tiktok and insta bout ytc ending and most of them is positive. Here only in mangago are more negative i think but in other manga sites, the comments are mostly positive, even in re-quotes in twitter.

The author also mentioned before that once the endgame is decided half of the fans will leave. So mostly she knows whats she’s headed to and she is expecting there are negatives from cains stans. We yahwi stans pretty much satisfied though.

While I’m tired of the rape trope being overused, it does make me wonder what people expected for this story? Like?? Did they think they were going to have soft candlelit sex with flower petals and velvet blankets or??? Like this is clearly not the story for that lol. I have a problem with the rape trope (in general) especially when it seems completely unmatched with the rest of the story or is out of character but the dude has been like this since the start so idk what they were thinking was going to happen

I could not have said it better honestly. Compared to a lot of other bls where the non-consensual actions are at a level that is HIGHLY concerning. This is pretty tame in comparison. But yes its been shown from the get go that Kwon was pushy and doesnt like waiting as well as obsessed with Hamin. It really doesnt surprise me that he does this as theyre first time. While im not happy with it its how the character is and all we can do is watch for any character development. ALSO if i can just sneak this in here real quick. We see the same thing with other bls where the couple is all lovey dovey and infatuated with one another. It can be in a jealous scene or frustration whatever, but they 'vent' theyre feelings through sex even when theyre Significant Other says no and all these other things. But most people dont say anything, like ithers are right now with Kwon and Hamin. In fact we fangirl and say all these things like 'hes so hot' or 'get you a man whose obsessed with you like him.' Its the same thing but were seeing it through different filters. Just to give yall perspective

I usually drop the stories that contains forceful sex scenes which don’t match the plot and the artists have squeezed them there for the hell of it! But as you said story like this one is different, 3 chapters in and we already what we have signed for so keep mentioning the word “rape” repeatedly in the comments really pisses me off , like dude we got it!
