and there’s nothing wrong with that but i find these two way more interesting. we have a bisexual character, who may or may not have more to him than we know, and seunghee, who has a reason for being the way he is and we’re slowly getting to see his character development.
the first couple was cute but it’s what i’m used to. they were more generic and predictable which is still a good read but i like not knowing what’s gonna happen hence why i like this couple more.
i'm really interested in knowing why you think the first couple is generic, because i disagree. i don't think it's very common for ukes to be violent and have anger management issues, do you? or that he is so afraid of looking bad due to his upbringing that emphasised always being the best, and so he's willing to sacrifice people so he can maintain a good image of himself. or that the seme's life was completely ruined because of the uke, and that the uke's bully (inbeom) clearly has an unhealthy crush on seungtaek. i definitely understand that bffs to lovers is a common trope, but if the couple is boring because of that, then no story can touch on bffs to lovers. it's all sorts of screwed up and people are very easily glossing over it because of presumptions that as long as the bl couple gets together, it's a happy ending and so they easily equate it to be cliched or uninteresting. which isn't true, since [spoilerrrrrr] the author will touch on them again via inbeom.
honestly i lowkey think that people actually like seunghee and suhyeok because they are the ones that resemble a more normal couple. not that they don't have their merits, their development is just slow which is fine and understandable because seunghee takes time to open up.
it’s very common. seungtaek is your typical bad ass class president and then kyubin is your typical bad boy puppy. neither is bad and i never said the first couple was boring. im calling them generic because their love is predictable. if i didn’t think violent uses were common, i’d actually be a lot more interested in their story but i’ve read my fair share of violent ukes. i don’t mind reading about them but what you’re saying doesn’t change how i feel.
about seunghee and suhyeok, people like them because they’re more relatable and realistic.
really? rarely have i ever seen ukes that are as violent as seungtaek. i'm well-versed with cliched tsundere who hits and fights back, but not those that beat someone with a helmet till the ukes actually cause brain damage. usually it's just used as a trope and they do little consequential damage, if you know what i mean.
if you those that aren't tropey and have legitimate anger issues, i'd love to read more about those. can you list the mangas here?

i really want more of taeyi and seheon): but this ended so beautifully. i’ll miss all four of my babies.
