i love how koogi transitioned this. at first i saw sangwoo as this psychotic guy. he’s still psychotic and i still don’t forgive him but i do empathize with him. and now we’re getting his background story and seeing that he’s just broken. absolutely broken. it’s nice to know that it’s all his mother’s doing and now i can actually understand his hate (?) towards women in a sense and why he is how he is.
i’ll be frank, there is no turning a new leaf for him. after all the fucked up things he’s done, i don’t believe redemption would be... fair? maybe an asylum and some therapy but i’m not educated in that field so i can’t really say. i’m coming back later to see everyone’s views and theories.

One murder is horrific enough, but just to correct you when you claimed he "murdered tons of people". Also, it does appear that he had limited mental capacity during these murders. Especially with the two women, which were linked to the trauma in regards to his mother.
He planned Jieun's murder and the gay-bar man too, and he hadn't limited mental capacity at the time. Bum wouldn't have never killed anyone if it wasn't for Sangwoo.
