I think it's because of the way the chapters are divided that we can't easily keep track of what everything is about lol. Like, plot will happen for 1-2 chapters, then they'll fuck for like 6 chapters before we go back to a little bit of plot again. And then there's a lot of convoluted planning behind the scenes. We're led to believe that Jitae is this big brained master plotter but honestly I'm not convinced because he just seems like a spoiled chaebol to me. I haven't seen enough evidence to convince me that Jitae is all playing them, it just seems like everything is conveniently falling into place for him.

I hope it'll take philosophy seriously and not just as a plot device

Nah I kind of get him. He clearly went into it as a transactional relationship, so he's rationalizing everything. His brain hasn't caught up with his instincts yet haha. I think it's okay like this and then build up the love slowly rather than their relationship to be a rush.
