I kind of get Sejin's feeling of helplessness. I think if Ido was straightforward with him from the beginning, Sejin wouldn't have felt this way and won't second-guess every interaction they've had so far. They're not on the same page, probably never did in the first place. If there was anything Ido was preparing for in secret, it better be something that will make Sejin happy or else I think it will not be worth losing Sejin's trust like this.

Damn, this chapter gave me feels. Imagine you're at the lowest point of your life and then you see a dream as happy as this. Then you realize that this is indeed a dream BECAUSE it was too good to be true. How fucked up your life would have to be to not fall for it.
I think I would've liked them better if the angst and separation were longer... but I get it, they actually really like each other except that the misunderstandings grew bigger than the two of them. That's why they could probably be ok even with everything that happened..idk, just apply suspension of disbelief on a fictional story haha

The world building was promising but then this had to happen?? Idk what purpose does this scene serves except to maybe drive home the point that the king is a bastard and Michael should clearly move on and cut ties
After reading the latest chapter, I tracked down the novel and started reading where it left off. Damn, I loved Chaeyoon before but now I want to shield him from the rest of the world. He deserves his retirement, damn it. The novel did a very good job of asking the question, which is more important, one person's peace and happiness or the world's safety? Damn it all. Also, Jihan is a very sweet person towards Chaeyoon.

Comment section is crazy lol you're out for blood. Yeah I agree that Masaomi was shitty and what he did to Asahi was shitty, but he explained that meeting your fated pair was a shock. We even saw Akiomi react extremely about it. The difference between Masa and Aki is that Aki had the determination and resolve to hold on to Asahi, which Masa didn't have.
I also looked up the raws of Vol 2 before but iirc it's not yet finished, not sure about it now. Still, if the spoiler about Masa and Mitsuru breaking up is true, then I think it's just to be expected. I like how this story shows the concept of fated pairs as just genetic compatibility, and that emotional connection is still stronger than mere instinct. This is honestly like a slap to the face of many other abo stories that show their characters as slaves to their instincts and lose their humanity in the process.
