I don't get why people are dunking on this trope haha yeah it's overused but it does appeal to a lot of readers, including me. It's a play on the destiny trope; like all roads lead to you or in this life or any other I'll find you. If you don't like these kinds of tropes then there's a bunch of other stories out there for you.
Honestly, it was a good read. But I can't help but feel like Itoi was just a plot device for Sudou and Natsume haha he doesn't have much personality on his own except for that one tidbit, which honestly also just acted as a plot device for Kashima. All in all, Itou was the weakest character in terms of characterization.
God they're so precious. Thank you artist for giving life into this great story. I enjoyed reading the novel and now I'm loving how it's portrayed.
