We even saw Akiomi react extremely about it. The difference between Masa and Aki is that Aki had the determination and resolve to hold on to Asahi, which Masa didn't have.
I also looked up the raws of Vol 2 before but iirc it's not yet finished, not sure about it now. Still, if the spoiler about Masa and Mitsuru breaking up is true, then I think it's just to be expected. I like how this story shows the concept of fated pairs as just genetic compatibility, and that emotional connection is still stronger than mere instinct. This is honestly like a slap to the face of many other abo stories that show their characters as slaves to their instincts and lose their humanity in the process.

Yes honestly the world building is the reason why I keep coming back to this story, even when the smut scenes got very uncomfortable. Still, I kinda get that it was necessary to the story as it adds to the feeling of helplessness that everyone, especially Yugeon, was feeling.

Idk, it's the usual style and I adore the mangaka, but this story is not giving me the same feeling of reading a great story as when I've read Contradict or Chicken Heart Serenade. But I'm going to continue reading to see where this will go.
