My friend told me to read this (I'm indigenous/Native American), and she loved the book a lot. I enjoyed it to. I'm just glad it wasn't outright racist and stuff, like other books with native/indigenous people in it.

Just like to mention that I absolutely adore Yolka he's one of the few healthy ML’s in bl but this one thing keeps bugging me, his thoughts about his fated pair are honestly so disappointing like i get it because of him you now have epd but like to blame him for not that but about the fact that he didn’t want to be with you and got rid of his secondary gender is just icky no matter how you look at it, i fully understand why the fated pair wouldn’t wanna be with Yolka also lets not forget he was already dating someone when they met so obviously he wouldn’t wanna cheat on his partner or leave the person he loves.
