Chika is a 40 yo man who was sent to another world where humans are slaves and often sex trafficked due to their rare features.
His physical age isn't how old he actually is and the reason why his mental age is initially regressed is due to the extreme torture he went through from a previous master that wasn't shown in the manga adaptation.
If ya'll can't leave the baby back bs at the door when reading this series then go somewhere else. I am so sick and tired of hearing the perpetual squealing of petulant toddlers when I'm trying to find ACTUAL INFORMATION.
Jfc.

It's so fucking bad I absolutely refuse to touch tiktok.
The number of times I've seen friends being lambasted on there for their art or mangaka I've been following for over a decade suddenly being accused of heinous shit over cartoons is enough for me to want another plague to roll through.
Cull the numbers, and if I'm one of them then thank fuck I won't have to deal with this shit anymore lol

It's either that they are too immature or they refuse to use the systems in place to help them find the specific shit they want to read.
Like, something can be tagged smut, psychological and horror and the comments will be like "OHEMGEE WHY IS THIS SO TOXIC" and "WHY IS THERE SO MUCH SEX" like come tf ON--

Not in the positive sense as in "yippee" but in the "they knew how to write this bitch and make her into one of the most irredeemable villains known to man."
She's right there with the foster mother from Tree Without Roots and Garon's mom from Toxin.
Truly vile scum that need to have their breathing rights revoked.

Let's see how this one plays out.
Also, I'm probably over-thinking again, and I really hope I am, but the story about Garon's mother and how she was stuck to him 24/7 and wouldn't let anyone else near him-- not even the people hired to take care of him-- makes me feel icky.
It's either one of three things in my head; she was either a really horrible helicopter parent, she physically abused him due to a grudge she held against her husband OR she had a sick obsession with Garon and potentially sexually abused him in some way.
The third option would explain why she never picked out a wife for him and why she felt the need to never let anyone near him.
I'm really hoping it's a bad case of helicopter parent and nothing more, tho. Like, kids being sexually abused by a parent or family member hits way too fucking close to home for me and I'd end up sympathizing with Garon to a certain degree.

Oh no...
Also thinking back on it, a lot of Garon's bedroom habits and how he doesn't form emotional attachments with women makes a lot of sense, too, if you consider the possibility of him being sexually abused as a child.
He never stood a chance as an adult that was expected and groomed to be the leader of a nation.
Having Hyo-un gain closure and hope for the future there at the end killed me.
He was given a reason to keep living when he thought his only future was to die as a sacrifice.
I'm gonna miss them so much OTL
