…but wow 35 chapters in and Jaekyung is still literally so terrible and irredeemable at this point. It’s so hard reading this and wanting a positive outcome when Kim Dan is treated so badly relative to the mass appeal of this story. If only the art wasnt so good and I didnt have continued expectations from BJ Alex I’d have dropped this long ago if it werent for that goodwill…
Hwan sucks (to put it the most nicely as I can) for Chapters 1-30, and I still don't understand how he could do a complete 180 in 1 chapter. I just want Haejin to get to the Amazon alone at this point. The story is bad but honestly readable. So weirdly captivating

From what one of the earlier comments said, the manhwa cut out a lot of the really important parts in the novel where Hwan did a lot of soul searching and internal work while Haejin was gone. That’s why the change feels so unnatural in the manhwa. The novel is supposedly much better story-wise and Hwan’s mood change is much more easily explained in the novel than in the manhwa.

The plot especially at the beginning felt so interesting, however Seojin being such a weak uke really soured the end of the story for me, he has like 0 sense of self preservation or depth tbh
Same thoughts, not the ending I was hoping for but I guess all it matters was that they're all happy lol
