i'd argue that they are both manipulative, but i haven't seen anything from the new guy yet except him trying to befriend mc for some ulterior motives we don't know yet. and i'm gonna be so honest, white hair guy is barely helping like i don't think mc would approve of people getting tortured like this - and it's not even like a satisfying torture tbh

i totally get ur point with the torture methods tho but i also think its done in such a cruel way on purpose so that not even the readers feel that satisfaction that one would feel in a revenge manga to show how merciless this guy is and inhumane and how he'll stop at nothing just to get what he wants and please the guy thats prob a god in his eyes
