sure jaekyung is an asshole, but im sure as all hell that when you get approached by the enemy team and get offered something like that, you sure as hell report that back that type of interaction

what's currently frustrating me is that dan doesn't seem to have any agency over the plot, things just 'happen' to him, he gets forced into a corner and cowers until another thing makes the decision for him

all these comments about mc restraining humself, while i'm out here squealing about getting picked up like they weigh NOTHING!!!! that's so sexy?????

it's insane that i'll be the same age as them in 5 years too

it hurts how real this all feels? we can sit here and judge the characters for doing something stupid cause we have the advantage of hindsight and omnipresence, but the way they were written opens up the same wounds i got from previous relationships

the fear of slowly falling out of love with someone, or how the things you've loved about them are now the things you hate, being in a relationship that makes you feel spent and tired and empty after every fight

hopefully, anyone who reads it finds comfort in the fact that they're not characters in a story where everything follows certain tropes or story structures and that you will find the love that'll make you feel like you're enough as a person :)

desid answered question about make a picrew
vs who i wanna be
desid asked a question

It's about a fake love triangle, where the childhood best friend and the "rival" get together

Childhood best friend has glasses and is a bit gloomy, uses it to hide his attractive face

it's so funny to me how mc just thinks about it for a bit and was like "yeah I'm into men too ig"

desid asked a question

Any recs in any genre that's completed? Preferably published within the last 5 years, but if it's really good I'm ok with older ones

I genuinely love the trope of the 'bitch' archetype becoming friends with the FL. I eat that trope right up.

First off, this is a genuinely well-written and well-paced series. You will have little to no regrets in reading this. I genuinely enjoyed my time reading it.

With that all out of the way, read this if you're a fan of slow burn without all the pesky side drama that comes with it. It's a fake relationship premise, but all the drama regarding misunderstandings and past baggage gets resolved quickly. That could be a pro or con, depending on your tastes. It doesn't frontload a lot of drama, so at specific points, the plot feels too easy, so take that as you will when you read it.

in my feelings rn looking for my own bear of a partner to fall in love with

this manhua out here making me feel single as all hell

Check this out if you're a fan of both genres. Had to bite down on something because my cackling laughter would've woken up my family while reading this. Smart use of tropes: they use it in a way that they also diverge and address all the problematic silly stuff you kind of glaze over cause you're reading that specific genre.

10/10 would recommend

ml has bright glowing red flags and our mc out here representing the colorblind community

your ph balance and cooch bacteria will be all outta whack

when you first read this, you might think it's ripping off other manhua, and maybe they are, but the writing in this one is hilarious, absolutely plowing through these chapters

i love absurdism, and the characters play good balances with each other

give it a read!

I got into manga and anime because of shonen because of my dad, but I developed a taste for shoujo later on. I loved shoujo as a teen cause it was about someone falling for someone, all the warm feelings you get when you fall in love. Growing older, I grew more spiteful of love and experienced my heartbreaks and losses. Shoujo became a bit of a joke to me, filled with bad cliches and disproportionate drama.

I feel like this manga is a love letter to relationships. A reminder of how love can be the simplest thing in the world. It doesn't shy away from the bad stuff but doesn't blow everything out of proportion with unnecessary drama and cliches. It perfectly balances the sweetness against the other unpleasant flavors of love. A slow but sudden fall into loving each other, enjoyed the whole read.

Def recommend this to anyone looking for something sweet. FL did come off a bit much during the first few chapters, but she pulled through for me. She's such a girl's girl, definitely was surprised this was released around the 2000s.

I was also scared that the ML would be the usual case of wet blanket and oblivious, but he's surprisingly proactive in the relationship.

College student Akane has just been dumped by her boyfriend. Heartbroken, she decides to quit the on...

  • Author: mashiro
  • Genres: Manga / Shoujo / G) / Comedy / Drama / Romance / Slice of Life / Video Games

It's decent enough! It had a good start; FL's and ML's relationship was pretty cute, and the art was pretty consistent. It runs into the usual problems the genre has with pacing, and they set up a lot of stuff but can't develop those points well enough that they come out feeling rushed and nonsensical.

FL has agency in what she does; she doesn't have things randomly fall into her lap or get saved by the ML during tense moments. This and the fact that the couple has a v cute relationship are this manhua's saving grace. Enjoyable quick-ish read.
