Just too freaking adorable! I have to read over her cutest moments at least thrice before I can calm down and move on --- like the cotton candy and finger promise. Just too many laughs with this kid. I'm glad she retained some innocence and happiness even after the horrific trashy mess that was her relatives.
Cuz s***'s about to come raining down, and it's aaaall gonna land on that moron of an instructor. (Don't stand too close, now!)
It's really pathetic that these children (mind you, I think Lucius---the eldest---is only 12) have to school him in etiquette and common sense. They even have a better grasp on word manipulation and subtlety than him! My gosh, I wish I was that good.
He should sit his entitled butt down and listen and learn, like a good human being. Like Lippe said to the blonde boy with purple eyes: "If you're not a kid, then admit your mistakes and apologise!"
To thinking about the possible traitor in Yuuichi's original group of five (Shiho, Shibe, Kokorogi, Yuuichi, and...glasses guy) for a moment.
When I think back on the possibilities, I find myself thinking that Kokorogi is a good candidate for the traitor. To begin with, she comes across as a naive and more or less innocent girl who couldn't do any harm, right? But isn't her best charm point that the author and characters have stressed so far (in both implications and outright stated) is that she's a surprisingly good actress? She's helped Yuuichi a few times already with her acting skills in deceiving opponents (notably usually by gaining their trust first, then somehow betraying them. An MO!?). And despite being a "good girl who could do no harm willingly", she doesn't seem to have any issues with deceiving others. We're lead to believe that it's due to her borderline obsession with Katagiri, but I don't think that's entirely true.
Yes, I think she is obsessed with Yuuichi for one reason or another, but she hasn't always acted on his orders. The arc with Kamishiro on the SS ship...They kind of gloss it ove,r in my opinion, by focusing on the fact that Yuuichi manipulated and used her to corner Kamishiro, but she did in fact betray them. She'd willingly helped Kamishiro in return for advice on Yuuichi and how to gain his attention. Setting aside some long-winded explanation about this, for me, that says that she worries more about Y and his affections for her than she does about the team and "friendship" as a whole.
Next: Shiho, since her appearance on the SS ship, has repeatedly stated that "Kokorogi isn't that simple". The other staff lead us to believe that she says this out of a loyal sense of friendship (which is weird either way you look at it, given how her character was presented as the initial traitor who didn't care about friendship), but she never confirms or denies it. Instead, she watches with a weird expression of what I interpret as worry for her actual friends (Yuuichi, for ex.), and...maybe irritation at some points (mainly when Yuuichi seems to show that he has an unwavering belief in Kokorogi, and their friendship).
You can take this as either A) she's jealous because she has a crush on Yuuichi or B) She's upset because of his seemingly unshakeable trust in Kokorogi, when she knows there's more than meets the eye. Kokorogi SHOULDN'T be trusted. She isn't /simple/. She's actually cunning and a good liar---when she wants or needs to be.
Aside from that, there's moments where Ko. just seems to be really OFF.
Like in the round on the rooftop (during the arc when they were first kidnapped), when Ko. was momentarily aggressive towards Shiho. I can't remember what the conversation was about, exactly, but that it had something to do with Yuuichi, and Shiho stealing his attention or something. She was pretty scary that time, and I think it was the first time we got to see her true character and not the goody-two-shoes.
There's other small moments too (usually towards another female), but the most notable was the lengths she'd go to in the Kamishiro arc (which we already spoke about above).
I don't know how it ties in completely with the overall plot, but I think that the likelihood of her being the traitor is pretty good. Not 100%, yeah, but...like, 60% likely, lol. Probably has to do with Yuuichi and wanting to isolate him for herself, as the one who'd always be by his side and do anything he asked if we're sticking with the basic yandere trope she's currently coming off as~
I also feel like we haven't had a proper explanation as to WHY she's involved in the game anyways. Shiho, Shibe and Glasses all had their backstories that somehow blended pretty well with the theme of the game and manga in general (mystery, lies, trust, previous connections with Tomodachi Game through family and friends, etc..) and Yuuichi has plot-armor as an MC + his own backstory that also fits (without the direct tie to Tomodachi Game), but Yutori Kokorogi?... Nothing.
The only explanation we get is that "she happened to be friends with them, so she's here" which is pretty dull to me. I'm waiting for something more, and this might be it.
Thoughts? Congrats on reading through to the end!
Makes a lot of sense tbh. And if you are actually right, I feel like Yuuichi knew this since the beginning and acted as if he doesn't know who it is. I mean, we're talking about Yuuichi here, that guy always had a plan before even anything remotely started.
Oh, and Kei was really shocked at knowing who the real traitor is, so it mmakes sense that i's someone who doesn't come off as 'the bad guy'.
I also think that Shiho was involved with Tomodachi Game before everything happened and didn't really betrayed anyone since she worked there the whole time. I think that them being thrown into Tomodachi Game and her working as Admin are not connected in any way.
Read everything until the latest chapter (12) and, while it's somehow interesting, the story as a whole is just BS. The plotline is disjointed in coherency, nothing is explained properly before something new is introduced (and shows no signs of ever being explained), scenes between chapters and even in the same chapter change so rapidly that I feel like pages or chapters are missing to fill in those gaps, characters are introduced as if they're important but then die off or disappear, awkward expressions, inconsistent details,...I could go on.
Wouldn't read it a second time, and am currently considering dropping it but, like I said: it still finds a way to be somehow interesting enough that I want to know how it ends (which I can already guess I'll be unsatisfied with).
Give it a shot, but don't go in with the thought that you've invested your time in something worthwhile. Ouch!
But how did Galliad lose possession of his pocket in the first place? I feel like I either unintentionally skipped over some information, or there's missing backstories. Galliad isn't the only one either, and I can only hope we get more explanation down the road for some characters.
On the other hand, I do like how the author subtly slips in knowledge about certain things. Like how (minor spoiler) the top 2 players don't just work together, but are also siblings. Twins, I believe, at that!
I hope they explain Galliad's back story!
I think it was intentionally skipped because the mc didn't Care. Because in the notes his brother left him, it only glanced over that Galliad lost something. But the brother didn't even know what it was. So it was a random find for the mc once he saw the picture inside. (But still I wanna know what happened to his wife & daughter )
That tag at the end though, I worry. I have many worriesΣ( ̄□ ̄||)
"Is it aphrodisiac potion time?" Please no. That's drugging him, which is rape. Seducing him is fine, since this world is okay with polygamy and it isn't considered adultery, but use your own strengths! I swear, if they drug him, I'm gonna lose my shit cuz it's totally unnecessary.
Especially because I'm also pretty sure he was on the fast track to liking Yuria in the beginning anyways, before the Ash girl stepped up.

What? Are we in Glory City!???
lol that TODG ref
sorry meant to hit thumbs up!
TODG?? What does this mean? (Sorry I’m dumb XD)
Tales of Demons and Gods~
Thanks!! I’m pretty sure I read TODG awhile ago so I knew it was familiar but I did it know from where. You helped a lot!
Aw, you're welcome~
I actually dropped it a while ago (just got too busy), but I remember really enjoying it. I tried to pick it back up from where I left off a few days ago, but found that I had no clue what was happening anymore, lol. I guess I'll just have to restart.
Which reminds me: This and many other websites are a fantastic way to keep in touch with others. People you know personally, people you've met recently and connect with...
Times are difficult right now and I understand that not everyone feels safe.
So, I just wanted to support everyone by saying this:
