Unlike other novels where FL meets ML first and he falls for her instead, he actually loved the saintess here. It's not a hypothetical situation. He loved her but didn't confess or get disillusioned. I agreed with you for the first 9 chapters, but while she is still to casual he’s starting to soften now at chapter 10 and a little chemistry is starting. May turn out to be nothing, but it seems to be shifting somewhat now
