From what I remember Diane and belze were both saint candidates, but Belze wasn't the preferred one and got a lot of her divine power drained in that cursed underground jail cell. Her powers kept reducing as time went by even after leaving and getting adopted by the Duke's family. She kept getting compared to Diane and acting out in response. The little brother died. The older brother was more reclusive and stood by her in the end. Her heart got taken. Time got reset. A lots missing that you'd just have to re-read the earlier chapters for.
