he was dude's bodyguard/assistant of some sort when he was a gangster but was secretly in love with him. when ML died i think they were in the car together. that's why initially he hated idol ML but after spending time with him obviously he recognized the mannerisms of the person he loves so though he isn't 100% certain he's mostly certain and has been working behind the scenes to help him. ML clearly has feelings as well but he doesn't realize they're romantic yet. this is why i'm frustrated though! bc of course you've forgotten!! hahaha

This part did not exist in the novel. Cliff loved lize (the author) and willingly made a contract that had no benefit to him which was that he could never divorce her and that he had to protect her.
