i feel like he's genuinely in love with MC and just like in korea people aren't 'allowed' to be gay so when MC told him they weren't in a relationship that he genuinely believed they weren't. not that it's ok to just play around with peoples feelings but he seems to have genuinely misunderstood and it's partially MC's fault for not being honest about how he felt. always rooting for a redemption arc! but i also might be a masochist haha

Maybe she got bullied thats why thr manager guy got in a fight and maybe the idol guy was not necessarily the instigator but since he has a lot of friends and cricles and always trying to be around her, it probably sparked rumors and her mom's death was probably her last straw along with her only residence being gone. THIS ISNT CONFIRMATION, just theory.

When that happens I do as you say, wallowing in a sorrowful puddle of my own tears and if I find out it's a publisher issue I curse their entire family line to drown in debt proportional to their bottomless greed for coins
If it's an author issue I curse them to have a keen liking only for works that are eventually suspended or on hiatus, or collapse through the height of story like a flimsy stack of cards much like their poor planning and writing or greed in adding things without fleshing anything out, relying on deus ex machina daddy
