I do like the story, but I find Alex’s character arc to be kind of… flat. It just feels like her abilities, accomplishments, and growth are kind of meaningless because Menas basically handed them to her on a silver platter. It’s not that she doesn’t have talent or determination, it just feels like she never has the chance to demonstrate any independent proficiency without getting a helping hand from Menas or plot armor. To me, it kind of devalues the plot and makes her a lot less interesting or enjoyable as a character.
It doesn’t even make sense that she can use Menas’ skills. Her skill clearly states that she gains abilities from bosses she DEFEATS. Menas completely faked that battle and she did not injure, incapacitate, or corner him at all beyond what he deliberately allowed. If he had different intentions, he could have turned around in that moment and wasted her, or just destroy her without faking a defeat. So she could just pay anyone to throw a fight and that get all of their skills because it still counts as a defeat?
I don’t know why Alex’s character is so poorly actualities when the author has several other op characters with better development and characterization

Can an FL be allowed to gain confidence with her imperfections without magically making her conventionally attractive before she can grow or attain any level of success?
I’m bummed that her birthmark “deformity” randomly vanished after she went back in time. It’s not uncommon, but it’s annoying when making sure the FL is conventionally attractive is prioritized over all else. Character arcs of MLs accepting their “imperfections” are somehow allowed, though less so because in male characters those traits are not automatically considered defining of their entire character and how they’re treated/perceived.
A knight or assassin FL is always petite and slender with no noticeably muscle or scars. A severely or terminally ill FL is always thin, but somehow not in a gaunt or jaundiced way. A non stick thin FL who is either curvy or overweight? Soul swap, reincarnation, revival, time travel, or some other trite magic with take care of that until she is supermodel slender.
Is it really so impossible to write a story where the FL learns to be comfortable with her “flaws” and attains success and love without getting a magic makeover first? I just wish stories wouldn’t even bother adding these traits if they’re just going to be magicked away for no other plot relevance than a comparative “glow up” without any relevant character development related to the traits themselves
Wow MC’s company is horrible. They need to meet with a known Percy CEO who refuses to meet with men, and send the young, low level employee with no experience with business pitches. The CEO, as expected behaves inappropriately, causing MC to become uncomfortable and leave early. Then she gets yelled at for “failing” to get the contract and told to “fix it” no matter what. Her CEO is gross and exploitative, and is basically telling her to put up with whatever nasty shit the other CEO wants to get the contract. At least the ML seems really concerned and protective.
Gross. ML is an irredeemable psychopath. So sick of toxic storylines that peddle this crap. Don’t waste your time!

Sir, she has 3 cats she loves to dote on, knows two of them are therians, and only thinks one of them is a regular cat. I think she’s proved she won’t care

The uke is completely fucking nuts, but in a refreshing way? I guess I’m tired of seeing the same character types and relationship dynamics over and over again, and this seems like a welcome departure. Wishing them a happy ending tho ╮(￣▽￣)╭
