this chapter hits more cuz whenever they have interaction, my memory goes way back to that chapter where Reynold and Pene had a confrontation about the necklace.. *insert tears* istg Reynold is one of the best characs here

Eiser might seem nonchalant (only his rbf tho) but as someone who has similar "attitude" and personality as serena herself, this actually brings calmness to me. it brings out the unfiltered honesty and vulnerability within oneself. He stood there asking what she really wanted to say because HE KNOWS something is in Serena's head. and he stood there and listen to her yap her thoughts out w/o him interrupting and just letting her finish. I think that's the kind of respect and love that fits Serena very well. She is so to speak "emotional" and she views Eiser's "stability" (his ability to think straight and calm despite any circumstances) as calming and reassuring.
i know eclis is a bit....on the extreme side..but penny made him that way...ugh i hate this.. jt was supposed to be a dating sim or wtvr this is but at some point.. can't she see that those "characters" harbor feelings that already isnt in the plot? i actually felt like they were atleast sincere (despite the mirror brainwashing, still derrick i hate you though)
And to think that in the original timeline, he was supposed to have been promoted as an official knight and regained his honor.
But in this timeline, he became obsessed and a traitor to his countrymen. All for Penelope's sake.
Out of all the love targets, Eclis' end became the most twisted one. And I don't believe that he deserved it.
THIS!!! I completely agree. I would be ok with it if meeting penn had ultimately brought everyone happily ever afters, especially to prove the difference between both modes. But instead, he was manipulated at his absolute lowest. It was so undeserved and all bc although understandable, penn chose to make him that codependent. I truly hope there’s a redeeming arc or honestly this will become my most hated webtoon
