ML kind of lived a rough life ( his whole birth and childhood is... there some parenting that could have been better done to not spoil a lot) like the first few chapters showed us he look really unfeeling and cold which he is with roughly everybody in the base. He has one job and that's to be the judge and the judges are the being hated the most by humanity because no one understands how they can judge who to kill or not. (ML is the greatest judge like he has the greatest body count *not that kind lol* and people hate him because there's no logic behind his killing which is logical because how the fuck do you judge who is infected or not?)
His relationship with mc is kind of really cute ( an Zhe is the cutest mushroom in existence I will put my heart on a gold plate for that baby （/TДT)/ ) .
Mc is a mushroom, so he doesn't really have any basis for human feelings and stuff like that. His greatest mission is to find his spore and bolt out of that damned base. He will interact a lot with ml (compared to all the other humans in the base since years and it's already hinted from the beginning that ml can't get his head around what is An Zhe, which is understandable lmao.)
I can't wait to see the scene with the doll version of the colonel (I'm still laughing and screaming thinking about it lmao.)
But I assure you ML is kind offish the one who's going to fall first and hardest ( that all in my memories, I don't really remember every detail but our little mushrooms will awaken some feelings and warmth in his hard cold heart )
I really really don't wanna spoil the story because the plot is fairly good and saying too much will ruin the experience. I'm just going to say that in this story mc is the one who you're going to feel the struggle with emotions and feelings ( I mean he a ducking mushroom lmao but I swear it's cute and if the artist follow the novel 4ight it's going to flow just right.)
YOU MUST READ THE NOVEL it's really short and it's SOOO much better there's a lot of thing lost in a webtoon adaptation. I really recommend it. ( I'm sorry I'm not a good soiler kind of person because I don't want to ruin things don't forget that even if there will be romance eventually this is still centered over the apocalyptic setting so there's going to be gruesome and dark and sad scenes )

Ahem, I was about to riot when I saw the notice about people bashing the artist. Does people have no eyes? brain? wtf is wrong with them, how can you call this kind of art subpart and not deserving of the story? I know there's a lot of artist who does amazing art and there's gorgeous fan art of this book out there but this isn't the same with making a webtoon. And if I might add I've read a lot of manhua, some have pretty subpart art and this, here, is far from being that. People really have to get their eyes checked. Go see the lotm webtoon or the svsss webtoon, then compare them to this and you'll know the difference. ( Ik most of the hateful comment came from the artist main country but I had to make this rant because really wtf ?? Glad they decided to continue till the end ♡)
Anyway now that I've read the chapter Colonel Lu is as gorgeous and cold as I remember seeing some character make me want to punch them in the face or cry already. I love how the whole tint of the webtoon is on the colder darker side which suit the story well. And An Zhe my baby

The novel is a GEM, I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't read it yet cuz it's real good. The world building is amazing, the mc is the cutest baby and there some crying worthy scenes in there. It's real apocalyptic in all it's seriousness, tho there's some really funny moment.

The cover is lick worthy. ლ(´ڡ`ლ) The story look already good, I love supernatural kind of story with ghosts and legends. (The art is really damn good, some Chinese artists really know how to draw those kind of spooky theme.) I already love it, can't wait to see more.
This one really hurt me, I couldn't continue after the first arc and from what I heard the other arc end kind of sadly too. Don't get me wrong it was beautiful but my little heart couldn't take it. I still love it so much but I can't get past it knowing there will be a lot of sadness. Still at the end of the days it has been years since I've read that first arc and and the bittersweetness is still killing me. Maybe one day I'll cross that road. Still recommend it tho it's good enough to stick in your head even if you forget about it.
