The thing that stands out in this one among other toxic manwha is that they absolutely nailed the grovel.
Ml was absolute pos for the first several chapters and I was questioning my reading choices and praying that mc would escape one day, and then ml went WAYY over the line, and it ACTUALLY woke him up to the monster he was. Most grovels are half assed and the mls improve a total of nothing%, but this time, ml noticed what he was doing, the grovel started, and it STAYED for the REST of the story. Ml never stopped groveling, he never took mc for granted again, and that's what makes me feel like the redemption arc was truly effective. He doesn't magically change into a good person, but he does realize that he did not want to perpetuate his abuse towards mc and fixed himself for him, that's better than 99% of mls out there
From the moment grey hair said he was an "ex" but still had their picture as a wallpaper, I knew he was a red flag, but bro is just complete psycho to the point of criminal activity, geez.
Now I will admit the monitoring without telling mc is pretty shit, even though it saved him, I still would've hated to have spies and GPS monitoring me without my knowledge, pretty sure that's a crime too, so ml should've been more upfront with mc and explained to him stuff from the moment he heard grey hair's name. Don't know why he kept quiet, I am hoping however that mc isn't a spineless pussy and stands his ground and we get a grovel arc. Ml is leagues better than grey hair, but is not innocent
