Idk I'm probably being stupid but I feel like the ML (cannot remember his name help) is also a psychic esper or whatever like in chapter 7 his eyes turn purple while threatening howoo's friend. Friend guy also has a very sudden attitude change towards ML, which could just be like "oh he threatened him rahh" right but it's how positive he is now. Like he doesn't seem scared or anything so I'm thinkin he mind controlled him or whatever.
Also the uhhh actual psychic esper guy says "I didn't turn her into a guide" or something like that when they're talking about the nasty guide girl. Kinda a weird thing to say but there could be a way for psychic espers to like forcibly turn people into guides or something. Which could also be what ML guy did to howoo when they were kids which is why he seems like a guide but weird. It's also possible they imprinted but the imprinting thing is probably something sexual so it would be weird for like 9 year olds to do that yknow
