I had read this manga a LONG time ago, around when I first got into manga. Now keep in mind I was quite young when I started reading manga, around 10 or 11. I picked this up because I thought it looked interesting. Now LET ME JUST SAY, the subject matter really went over my head, as a young child, I understood that it was for more mature audiences and definitely not for my age group but alas, I read the entire thing and I thought it was compelling. Now, as this manga has the smut tag it truly lives up to its name and I felt so adult for reading this and I revelled at how mature I was for reading something with so much adult content and not be fazed by it. It's been 8 years now and I decided to re-read this as I remembered it to be a favourite of mine years back and holy fckin FCK, what the hell is going on??? I could barely make it through the first couple chapters, the content wasn't just adult, it was wrong, on so so many levels. The fem mc gets bought?? and then basically used as a plaything for the male mc which I definitely think a lot of instances was mostly sexual harassment, the female mc has no backbone, there were so many times I felt so grossed out (keeping in mind that they're only 17 years old and Hina is what, 15??) the plot is literally all over the place, so many different things just come and slap you in the face at the same time before you have time to react. One word: a mess. I can't believe I loved this manga, don't get me wrong, I can see the appeal it may have for some people and of course, this is a work of fiction but Jesus, toxicity everywhere.
I swear everytime this manga updates I get a pit in my stomach.
I don't even know who to root for anymore, I just want Yoshino to be happy and im praying Kirishima may do a 360 and not be such a trash guy but thats probably me just hoping in vain.
