It's unquestionably problematic for McQueen to do an insensitive rape documentary such as that. But one of my favorite underlying themes of this webtoon is the discrimination and negative view of the porn/sex industry and those involved in it. I agree with the fact that exploitation in the industry is still rampant but the society has no right to paint the industry as malicious or anything negative. Some people actually pursue it and it must be treated like any other professional job. Instead, objectively criticizing and eliminating the exploitation within the industry should be everyone's goal.
If it were so, the scandal couldn't have blown out of proportion this big. Ed's situation could have been better. Both of them might not be blaming each other like this. Ed's superior said it himself, "Nothing says in the contract that you can't film gay porn." Nonetheless, he has to go particularly because of the "company image" and how the society views the sex industry.

Can we all agree that Seju and Sumin were both "self-centered assholes" in their own way? During their early days together, Seju kept on limiting Sumin. There are instances where Sumin had to leave friendly meetups because Seju wants her to. It narrowed her world, she didn't from closer bonds with other people (same for Seju). Kinda full of pressure on Sumin's part too if she receives everything from Seju, felt like she also had to give her everything.
Also, it's hard to judge Sumin's grudge of several years during Seju's cheating incident. It all piled up, death of her parents, cheating Seju, and that fucked-up brother. Met some shitty women too. How could you easily put the blame on just her?
I truly thought that it was bittersweet though. Sumin dated a lot of people, but somehow, she kept on coming back to Seju. In some chapters, Seju got comfortable with their situation thinking that it was "love". Seju was late in realizing that it's not the proper way to love someone. They both clung to the remnants of their affection and found safety in this set-up without complaints, drawing a line instead of reconnecting with each other.
Although, I do understand the way Seju behaved. How will you learn to love someone if you didn't properly receive it yourself growing up? Sorry if this was too long, don't spread hate. Let's just all be happy for the healthy relationships they have right now (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

This one used to have another plot in the author's other work. It wasn't originally this alpha/omega shitstuff. In my opinion, it was so much better that way. What I hate about alpha/omega stories is that the mind gets divorced from the body, bodily autonomy is lost, and sexual pleasures rule over. For all I know, Hyesung may have called out to Dojin because of that damn bond.
Hyesung is being a damn prick all the time and he may have been taking advantage of Dojin's wealth etc. I agree that Hyesung also has issues and mistakes to resolve within himself but let's not forget who holds the actual power in this story, through and through, the one who is alpha and born to privileges. Hence, I don't think you can analyze the situation simply by from their actions.

In the other story, Hyesung was a homophobic self denying gay who was willing to sleep with men for a place to stay. He was also drugged by one of his partners. It wasn’t better than this and he thought he had to be high to enjoy sex with Dojin until Dojin in that story faked it and said he didn’t drug him at all.
There were several times in this story where Hyesung did not let himself be used—-he kicked an alpha at kyungsoo’s place and he beat one up at the brothel. So it shows he can protect himself and he’s not always going to victimized. I don’t know what his father did, but I assumed he made a pass and Hyesung left immediately.
But where the author messes it up is she gives him these moments, mixed with moments of heat where he seems drugged and aggressive about sex, and then these aloof in between moments where he says no but then he’s also saying yes and enjoying it. The author needs to be clear and more consistent and stop using dubious consent as device for sex scenes. Stop making Hyesung seems ambiguous in what he wants during them and stop making Dojin driven by them as a way to connect to Hyesung.

Honestly, I don't really like Hyesung anymore and I would totally support him and Dojin breaking up/separating but then there's the issue of them being bonded pairs which is the main reason they're chained to each other. But even if I don't like Hyesung, I don't want to see him unhappy/cry everytime he has sex with Dojin. I'd rather see them separate and find the right partners than see them forcing their unstable relationship like this until it finally works out, if it ever will. Like, they can't be like this *forever* and they already have a kid.
I'm hoping the next chapter reveals that Hyesung was just embarrassed or something and not... Feeling violated.
