i don’t know exactly what happened but there was a few chapters that were pretty hard to understand a couple weeks ago, like i already read this, but they were taken down and now they’re back up with different translations. that’s all i really know

Basically, many of the scanlation groups that took on this story dropped it because there was an announcement of an official English translation coming out soon. So, no one wanted to take it on especially because that would take away the opportunity for the author to make money once the chapters are translated and stuff.
However, there was a group called Toxic Scans that took on the project but as their name exemplifies, they were highly toxic. A PowerPoint came out (like 25 slides) of evidence that they were harassing not only fans of the story but authors. They were illegally asking for money and were sending death threats to people. They are racist, homophobic, transphobic, and other phobic you can think of while also making fun of anorexia (the pictures were horrible).
So, this information was shared and spread across this site and others where people were flagging all the chapters they did for any story. It got so big that they admitted to what they did while also disappearing and changing their name to Celestrial Spirits. However, it didn’t stop there. They went on to harass the authors of both Dead Door and Painter of the Night while also exposing this website. So now they are risking this website and possibly might cause a lawsuit or for it to be shutdown. Now, everyone is just waiting for the English translation coming in 2021

So, I’m not sure. I wouldn’t be surprised someone will have the audacity to do exactly like everyone at first and give an update. The new chapters were provided by someone because the Toxic Scan chapters we’re absolutely ridiculous. No one could understand them and people were talking about them so badly and then when everyone found out about them, their chapters were flagged. So, someone decided to reupload the chapters with better translation and even a summary of what happened in the chapter.
Regarding the hiatus, I would consider it to be especially because we really should wait for the English translation. When all of this was going down, I actually sent an email to Dolce Dreams asking them to take on the project instead of Toxic Scans without realizing that they had taken on the project before and they told me that they dropped it because of the English translation coming out and didn’t want to risk the safety of this site and give the other the opportunity to make money and that’s what we should all be doing. We need to be hunkering down until then
No problem! Also, sorry for the long message again lol. I really want people to know the truth about the situation and please share this with anyone else you might know who reads chapters from Toxic Scans aka Celestial Spirits now. Flag the chapter and have it removed because they are disgusting.

man, it's an unspoken but DEFINITE rule that if you're gonna release english scans of a manga/manhwa/manhua which was already taken by a scanlation group, ask them for permission first :/

Moreover it's hard not to doubt their sincerity about the whole issue cause come one, I find it hard to believe they haven't seen Hero Scans credit page at the beginning of every chapter. If I can see them, so can they. Plus, it's not like you can't find their tumblr page just by searching google ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Iluvhotshits, while it WAS a miscommunication on our part we actually did try to contact them but I made a mistake and it never got through. That’s why we’re in this mess. Hope that makes sense
