since i first started reading this, i believed the author was building up a toxic and unsustainable relationship, and i was 100% sure the story would end with them parting ways. i still think that would have made much more sense than what we actually got. you can't just spend over a hundred chapters characterizing yuri as a controlling, cold, selfish and violent person, to just forget all of that and give him a happy ending. this ending is literally everything i didn't want to happen to this story. and i wouldn't even mind if it ended with seonwoo being trapped in a toxic relationship with yuri, as long as the toxicity and abuse was acknowledged and recognized within the story. meanwhile here i feel like i'm being fucking gaslit, watching them being sort of lovey dovey, as if i didn't read about yuri being physically violent and doing extremely creepy shit like 30 chapters ago. the narrative lacks so much self awareness, it's like it doesn't even realize or recognize what it's portraying. it's really a shame, because before the two of them got together, i seriously though this series was one of the best I had ever read.
the last couple of chapters were lovely but the rest of the epilogue threatened to ruin the whole thing, it was pissing me off so badly. i just don't understand how the both of them went from being as dysfunctional as they were in the rest of the epilogue to being lovey dovey and cute in the last two chapters. it feels really contrived.
that aside, this was a great story that is definitely worth your time, even though there is a drop in quality towards the end. i'll miss it :')
S1 was absolutely amazing and the ending was perfect, bittersweet and realistic and i really liked how open ended it felt. I really don't know how to feel about this new season, on one hand, i trust this author with my life, but on the other i'm afraid it's going to fuck up the impact and the overall message of the first season. As of now, i think this webtoon should have ended after S1
i honest to god will never understand how people find over the top possessiveness cute. that conversation they had over smiling reads as incredibly odd to me
I was actually looking for comment like this and found it finally. Totally agree with you on this one! How is this level of possessiveness cute and romantic and not controlling, suffocating and a huge red flag!?! In my opinion, it was totally childish and so not romantic of seme to stop Lyle from smiling infornt of others. Like what the...!!!
I'm shocked at how people in the comments here are seeing it as very romantic and a normal behavior in a relationship.
honestly i prefer these all-fluff-no-plot chapters to the more dramatic plot heavy ones. up until chapter 64 karlyle was basically a blank slate, and he still is, but since they confessed to each other, i feel like karlyle behaves more realistically and is more in touch with his desires.
i understand that this webtoon isn't really meant to be anything groundbreaking and that the plot is basically an excuse for the smut, but i wish they characterized karlyle more. you could do something really interesting with a character like that, an alpha who's expected to date omegas and be dominant by society and by his family, suddenly realizing that he's actually not interested in any of that.
Idk how but i just get offended when you said the plot is basically an excuse for smut scenes, like this story is not flawless but they do have actual plot and the storyline is very clear, not just an excuse for smut scenes even though the main characters’ start was FWB
Hmmmm for Lyle’s character i also see some people said the same thing too, stuff like he’s just bland and his actions are kinda repeated and seem to be boring. I think you gonna understand his character more when you read the novel as his inner thoughts are described much more details and more reasonable. Lyle is not the type pf character to disobey his family and duties for his own personal desire even though he deadly want to and that irritates him so it might be uncomfortable to read cuz sometimes i just don’t understand why he’s so obedient and devoted for his family even tho they treated him like shjt. Sorry im talking too much and it’s kinda off topic now
the author really did an amazing job fleshing out these characters. a lot of stories fail to redeem characters like cirrus, but this time i genuinely feel bad for him despite the questionable things he's done. it's good to finally see a series treating such sensitive topics with tact and empathy. props to the author

hot take, but i think the side stories are what makes this story interesting. getting a glimpse of every side character's life is pretty cool, and i like the author's takes and view on sex work. i guess you can argue that the switch from a focused plot to this kind of fragmented storytelling wasn't super well executed but i still dig it. we have so many romance series we can read anyway, but we don't have many series that are centered on a positive view of sex work, so i don't mind the romance taking a back seat for a while
Personally, I do also love the side stories, I think it's great but ppl are making a fair point about that one cliffhanger, I completely forgot about it but is the guy ever going to find out that his bf is cheating on him?
