171 chapters???? Is this the One Piece of BL???
Cherry Blossom in its entirety is like 127-130 chapters including the side stories as well as the plot.line from school going up to the workforce. This one has them all start as adults. If we start tolerating authors for drawing/writing 150+ chapters, they'll never finish just ask Sekaiichi Hatsukoi fans
Drop it. Like its. Hot.
Drop it. Like its. Hot
I dropped it. Cause its. Not hot.
Lol I'm finna be a rapper.
I actually like the MC. Honestly, she has a strong personality, she's not naïve and she is very down to earth and level-headed.
Unfortunately, I also think she was put in the wrong Manga. I don't like the Male lead AT ALL or his lunatic personality that just comes and goes randomly. Matter of fact, I would tolerate him if he just didn't show signs of blatant misogyny. And it's not one of those stories where she has to overcome misogyny. She literally has to tolerate it and live with it all the while, trying to prove that she's as good as they are (the Yakuza/Kirishima). She does well but I feel it gets obershadowed with Kirishima's Lunacy.
There’s a literal side story which explains that all the men around her (including Kirishima, hot af Shouma, all the Yaluza dudes, and even her grandfather) are misogynists, no one is hiding it, I was kinda shocked when I read that and I keep tossing it out of my head while reading it, how is our Queen Yoshino supposed to fall in love with that crappy man
1. Translator horny as fuuuuuuudgeee
2. Munjin/Biryu/Murder Idiot has literally killed people for just talking to Cho-Ah but the red head gets to live after SA-ing his lover. Special treatment much???
3. I understand Cho-Ah is the victim but the gap between what he is going through and his belief system is surreal. He's enduring SA just so he can get to the capital so he can be a stupid doctor. Even going so far as to encourage himself to soldier on while on the bridge. All the other characters are clearly motivated in degenerate things and thrive in it as normalcy. Cho-Ah's the abnormal one for rejecting the degeneracy while also actively (and passively) engaging in it as well.
4. Red-heads in the BL category are evil. All of them...don't fight me on this
5. Munjin/Biryu is one of the stupidest characters I've ever encountered in the BL category. Not the stupidest; but at the very least, he belongs in the same group. How he gonna talk about wanting a peaceful and happy life with Cho-Ah but he done slaughtered Cho-Ah's village??? A fugitive on the run from the emperor and yet he is going on an entire journey to the Capital to make Cho-Ah happy??? Let's not even get to the Red-Head situation but clearly, he has cognitive dissonance. What I want to know is, with the level of idiocy he portrays, how has he been able to get away with murdering villages???? As matter of fact, how are these people letting themselves get murdered by an idiot???? I just-
11. I talk too much
I FEEL YOU !
I’m so glad I wasn’t the only person to notice this insane change of behaviour from Mujin- this Mujin is nothing compared to chapter 7,8,9 Mujin?! Like what?
Where’s the Yandere Seme i fell for and swore faithfulness????? No where to be found apparently.
And the uke, Choa, oh the adorable Choa that went from “ i have dreams i want to achieve “ to “ let’s go back to mountain “ in a blink of an eye , we can’t blame everything on the memory loss c’mon! I just hate him so much for cheating on Mujin
OMG, YOU SOO RIGHT. I definitely fell for the Yandere Seme trope too
Memory loss, in my opinion, is just a cop out excuse for a plot line with no direction. I've seen too many times in series, books, mangas, dramas etc. when the story is getting real safe (boring) they'll make one of the leads lose memory just for a drama effect. But to use it in like the early chapters???
Who knows how many chapters this whole series will have but I feel like it's just going to be progressively worse.
I'll be here for it until I can't stand it no more.
For now, I just want to know: "Who's that new Pokemon that appeared???"
The new “ Short haired- Tattooed Mujin” is definitely a mystery, and Mujin jumped straight away how could he miss Choan ?!
What I’m really confused about is how this is Supernatural. I get it , Mujin kills alot but what’s his “ real super power” super speed? Super strength? Ability to see opponents weak spots? I need more intel !!
Are you secretly telepathic? I ASKED MYSELF THE SAME THING TOO OMGG...but I didn't say anything cause I thought I would be bugging. This definitely feels like regular ass murderer in a period drama setting...I think what may have made people put the supernatural tag was the Sura god narration at the beginning. So anything with gods could simply be registered as supernatural. But you right Mujin (Don't know why tf I was writing Munjin) is just committing regular murder without any display of supernatural abilities. Then again, we also have to ask, how he killed the doctors village without Choa hearing anything? (I wake from a buzz alarm, I think a scream could wake me up as well) or how the only injury he got was from the whole fiasco was from Choa (the weakest individual)?
Very suspicious. I didn't realize until you mentioned it but you right. How is he a "fugitve" who is "wanted" by the Emperor himself and yet there's only like one wanted poster ad for him? Maybe it has to do with the fact he can wear his victims' faces?...nonetheless, I still think there should have been more posters with his original face that would force him to wear the masks all the time. Damn it. I hate it when I overthink for a Manga/Manhwa.
Despite the shitty art, I actually enjoyed the main couple's storyline. Definitely a classic Yaoi story before the bl webtoon takeover. I'd say what irritated me was how no one wanted to translate it and the side couples that just tagged along...Author could have given them their own story or write/draw them after the main couples story line. But noooo, it was just mix and mash all the way. So frustrating and so like most, I just gave up and welcomed the Webtoon BL's...at least they finish their storylines plus and Art is definitely a level up compared to what we were getting 7-8 years ago...
Yeah I know...but I didn't say Sekaiichi is a Webtoon. I said the Yaoi genre is getting taken over by BL Webtoons. Very few people are checking for B&W Yaoi Mangas similar to Sekaiichi Hatsukoi. At the end of the day, they ALL (Mangas, Manhwas, Manhuas, Webtoons, etc.) count in the Yaoi genres and I read them.
I totally get your point, the thing is though, these are published as books, with roughly, 5 to 6 chapters? and they get released every one to two years. So... imagine, main story probably takes up the first 3 chapters, and the last few chapters for side charaters. It just looks messy here since they are not separated as "books"
How do you know that “very few people” look for manga like Sekai-ichi...if you bought manga legally (amazon jp, futekiya, renta) you would know this is not the case
The comics that have the newest chapters for Given or Saezuru sell out hella fast in Japan. Just because Lezhin/etc. is popular doesn’t mean yaoi manga is becoming irrelevant or something
Sekai-ichi is slow as hell, I’ll agree with you there, but I’m a fan so I’ll wait for however long it takes
He probably meant the longer it takes to finish the more few people are going to be "new fans" since the yaoi genre is entering a new phase (art and style)... I totally agree with you that there are a lot of fans for sekai ichi. it's one of the best! But it seems that the ones that will be sticking with it til the end are the ones who started with it when its artstyle is the norm
Since we are on a "manga" platform (an illegal one at that, I admit), I basically limited my assumptions to just Mangago only. When you go to the homepage and check out the daily top 10 picks, how many of them are B&W JP Mangas? How many of them are from Lezhin, Tappytoons etc?
Don't get me wrong, this manga is still pretty dear to me as it introduced me to the Yaoi genre but sadly I don't see too many people (my speculation) clicking or talking about it or mangas similar to it. Saezuru's definitely an exception I will admit, but the others?? I just think people nowadays prefer their Yaoi's with color, great art and fast releases. All of which Sekaiichi doesn't meet except for like one which maybe Art depending who you ask.
For real though, in real life; if someone's extra baggage stalks and assaults you; you should let that person go lest you get caught in the crossfire. Doesn't matter if there was a reasonable explanation or not, if they didn't take the time to warn you of the crae-crae people they encountered, you'll get caught in the cross fire. And in this world, people can die for less. Also eff the Police here. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)凸
Maybe there's a better name for this but Cho-Ah is definitely giving me Watson vibes from the series Sherlock Holmes. The idea of naïve innocence all the while attracting high functioning sociopaths to him.
It's a weird combination. There are a bunch of red flags with Mujin in the beginning but he ignores it cause Love??? Only for him to be disgusted when Dude butchers people. He won't be suspicious of the man at the corner "helping" them to the capital, but as soon as he sees redhead, it's like the shadiest sign to ever exist before him??? Or how he's a victim of actual ab*se but then he also enjoys it???
You'd have to be levels messed up to always attract this nonsense and also behave like everything will be better "once we get to the capital ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ " Idk just my thoughts...

All bad puns aside, Soo-Young seems to be dealing with two sides of the same coin. His previous Hyung was possessive and abusive AF: I will admit. But his new boss has an almost similar mindset as he wants Soo-Young to be essentially dependent on him just like his previous Hyung...but somehow he gets a pass??
FR like people always miss this out and call the new relationship a kink, while SY ex actually is also similarly malnupilative to the point thay SY ran away as much as possible. So why SY is escaping from the first one and then some weeks later some people start magically and weirdly calling Taesung the only who can make SY happy, while literally Taesung is an extreme version of the ex? If SY has a kink for dom/sub relationship, than SY would be more than delighted to stay with the original malnupilative ex, and this webtoon would not even need to happen in the first place.
