Possible angsty plot points:
1. The mother shows up and wants the baby back (making Ho want to leave Korea and move back to the US so he could be close to the baby)
2. One of Mr. Kwon’s gold digging exes comes back (the one who he loved and hurt him the most)
3. They get outed and the villagers will not like it (since they’re old fashioned/ conservative and want Mr. Kwon to marry a woman)
4. Which could lead to people wanting Mr. Kwon to “resign”
5. And this could lead to the neighboring town taking advantage on that to destroy this village (they wanted Mr. Kwon to sell bits of his land to them so that they could modernize it or something like that but Mr. Kwon didn’t want to because that wouldn’t be beneficial for the elders)

Let’s overthink together haha! XD
If any or all of that were to happen, then I don’t think the author wouldn’t drag it out for too long, because they don’t usually do angst/toxicity/misunderstandings/miscommunications. Their characters and stories are always so healthy, wholesome and cute <3
This could definitely happen to make the story seem a little more “real” and not fairytale-ish but not to the extent that we would suffer and cry (out of sadness) xD

Fun fact:
The diner is the exact same diner as the one in Flashligh, chapter 11!

I’ve also found crossover locations that pop up in UTGL, Wet Sand and Shutline
Wait, I’m confused. When Brandon said he wanted to expand the business, Jin said that he has no interest in betraying Shinhai and will pretend he didn’t hear what he said. That was the apartment / bed scene. Then after the lady boss slapped Jin, at the office, Jin said: I would’ve followed you anywhere/ anyway but not anymore since you betrayed me. But Jin said that he wouldn’t?!?!
I think Jin meant he would have followed Brandon anywhere/anyway, as long as they stayed loyal to Shinhai, which Jin considered like family. But once Brandon decided to leave, Jin saw it as a betrayal, and that changed everything.
Oooh! So like, he would’ve done anything that Brandon ordered him to do, as long as it was within Shinhai! Thanks for clarifying it for me!
I was thinking prob more so as long as it’s not *against* shinhai. He’d probably still follow Brandon if the two groups were friendly.
Oooh, I didn’t think that could be a possibility because I thought that leaving a gang organization meant immediate betrayal. So they could leave Shinhai, start a new group, as long as they promise not to be their rivals and that would be “ok”?
