Not the plot but the characters. Gosh, I get that she likes him but it's more of a blind love at this point, which would have been fine when she's younger but shouldn't she have wisen up? Cha Joon keeps saying he'll hold on to her and not let her go in the future but how exactly is he going to do that? It doesn't look like he's going to stop listening to his family anytime soon, so I don't know where he gets his confidence. She's just going to keep getting hurt as long as he doesn't clean up his messy backdrop. Dan Tae is such an awkward potato and I like him for now, so I wish he would gradually gain some social skills and self-esteem when it comes to lady Bom, though it would probably not be easy. And if dude doesn't end up opening his eyes to the people around him, he's going to end up in a messy situation pretty soon.

It was never explicitly stated whether the people around her knew of her drugging or not. So I was always a bit curious about it but now that we know, I'm even more confused. How did they not know? Weren't these people (Felix, Eusto and her maid) considered close to her? How did he even get to drug her? Who brought the drug in? Was it just to drug her or did the drug serve another purpose? Urg, I'm jumping too far ahead. But I really love our Empress!! I wonder if she'll let me join her harem (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

Maybe after she came back from war, she was put to heavy drugs on a victory party of some sort causing it to stir her judgement and be manipulated by the duke. Then the duke, in hurry, suggested immediately for the people close to her to be imprisoned so that no one would figure out she is drugged that’s why no one was able to figure out she is drugged(eusto on the other hand was clouded by the change of the empress and the future of the kingdom so he couldn’t investigate with a clear head i guess). Maybe some of the other people working there were able to testify that why they got to have evidence.
What I think is Vague though is the Julia’s character in the novel. Isn’t she a great empress? I mean even though she was under the influence, sooner or later wouldn’t she realize that it’s everything is wrong? Unless of course the drug is too heavy or that she felt burdened by her responsibilities that she let it happen. But I do understand why some parts are vague cause our MC couldn’t fully recall what she read 10 years ago, but i think it would be good if those gaps are filled.
Rather than her being scared, these two are the ones getting scared! I love the fact that they don't force her to do anything but just watch over her for now.
