Tbh Wetsand is a good story, not a masterpiece, but a decent story and it's always brought down by the love triangle (if you even want call it that). Wetsand still follows the basic formula but what I like is that the MC shows the realistic struggles of being abused and condition for years. Afraid to move on because they themselves are self destructive hence the struggle to get out of the repetitive cycle which most of yall don't seem to understand. It's amazing how the author shows that and even uses color theories and subtle objects to tell their story. It a nice storytelling if you don't only play attention to the love triangle. But I will say the problem is indeed the author trying being unpredictable who endgame is when it's a bit obvious especially near the end of S2. She's trying bring yall in with the "2nd" lead to misguide readers and it's working look how the two recent chapters brought back many casual and non readers because they think something actually happen when its still the same regarding their relationship. To me the love triangle isn't badly written, it's perfectly cliche in the sense of a broken character. The point is to show how repetitive some things are and why it happens. Because if you notice only one relationship is repetitive while the other isn't. That's the whole point and it just goes over most people's head because it's not a surface level reading, context matters and most just read the chapter instead of readering the story ( if that makes sense).
Edit: to make this clearer. Most read the chapter but forgot the rest of the previous chapters hence me saying most only read a chapter but not the story. Does that make more sense?

Want to point out the hypocrisy, not on here but mainly what I see alot on X and tiktok. I constantly see people say Jo doesn't fit the noir. That Jo stans can't handle the noir but they seem to a bit compared to tj stans so.
Jo does fit the noir, and when ever he shows confliction but also determination in using his ability, ex the gun, he's suddenly horrible, a bad character but that's exactly what noir is. So is it that yall not actually like/love real noir in a story or it is that you simply don't like him because he someone who can prevent a tjian endgame.
Reminder that Ian deserves better too. He deserves to get out of this deranged life. Just because you think Jo deserves better doesn't mean Ian needs to stay in the life of those who made him sicken were he constantly devalues himself. Ian deserves to leave all that darkness behind.
I don't get when other say we have to admit Ian and tj have chemistry when this chapter show the oppsite. Ian showed subtle reluctance both physical and emotional. I don't see any chemistry anymore nor even see compatibility. All I see is one dude being all "me me me" while the other is thinking how horrible he is that he doesn't deserve worthy.

Readers can enjoy the smut but despite that I noticed so many saying the reunion was still disappointing and underwhelming (even some who are tjian lovers said so it's not all one sided). So I'm here tell you, that's exactly the point. Their relationship will always be the same with no change. We SAW ian tired of cycle with tj but now we are FEELING how tiring it really is. Getting mad that there's no development is exactly the point of this chapter because there's no change even when tj left, selling the house, indicating moving on but in the end it's still ended up the same back to square one. This isn't bad writing, that's the whole purpose what the author is telling us.

You can criticize Ian but how you do it is what important. Slutshaming him is not the way. I admit I'm tired of Ian indecisiveness but that doesn't mean I don't understand why he's like that. Ian still has this codependency with tj, so even though he enjoys himself with Jo, Ian still has that horrible habit of letting tj do what he wants despite Ian himself not necessarily wanting it. We saw this behavior in chapter 26 a bit and in that chapter tj tell himself "you been mine" which actually parallels to tj saying the hat is his when Ian ask for it back.
Saw few panels of the new chapter and Ian is not once please with tj behavior. He's look so angry and how he kept his eyes open when tj kissed him lol but it's funny people keep saying that when Ian said he was miserable when tj left is romantic. When it wasnt romantic, it was literal because tj left right after Ian gave him the answer he wanted and didn't even bother to reassure Ian or give him truth. Ian was miserable because he was left with tj mess.
A few still defending tj fuckass actions as if it's an excuse.
