I'm so done with the "extremely overprotective dad/grandpa/brothers(/any male relative/caretaker)" trope where they get upset that kids are being kids. Like oh my fucking gods, get over yourself, they're five!! Holding hands means nothing!! Let them be kids!! ヽ(`Д´)ノ
Since I was young, I never understood my male relatives joking about buying a new gun when their daughters were born, like what, you're going to shoot any man who tries to approach her?? And that's supposed to be funny?? (Ironically, both of my cousins turned out to be gay)
People really be stuck in the heteronormative culture that they think this is funny I just get the urge to slap the duke for thinking it's somehow inappropriate

Despite me reading ahead in the raws, I always get so giddy and excited reading the English TL simply because so much of this story has to do with the context of text and dialogue, the characters' inner thoughts and perspectives... I absolutely love it!! It makes me wonder what is going on in certain parts and I can make my assumptions, and now get to see them being much more gay than I thought before haha (▰˘◡˘▰) I'm actually trashing in my bed and kicking my legs inside the blanket anytime there is an update. This is why I love slow burns!!
There's no way Hangyul would be so dense to miss this change in our lovely Mr. Oblivious, he's always been looking at Robin, there's no way he wouldn't notice!! I'm desperate to see his side of things too, Hangyul my boy your love is no longer unrequited ╥﹏╥

No clue! The raws aren't that far ahead and I fear we still have a while to go until more than handholding happens (this is what slowburns do to me, I know I'm going to be so damn excited for after the date ends and they go home in a taxi and robin takes the chance to hold hangyul's hand (and they're interlocking fingers!!!) Despite knowing we're likely eventually going to see them bang :"D)

Despite the story literally describing them "as close a siblings" and how they really do act like siblings at some parts, because the white-haired boy is on the cover, I dread they'll forcibly turn the relationship romantic. Or boo, turns out the white-haired boy had a crush on her for the longest time. Boo!! I'd find it so much more interesting if the two really are and stay as best friends only. There's no need for romance between them.
Needless to say, I'm rooting for the one with black hair.

AND *THIS* IS WHY I LOVE SLOW BURNS!!
Spoilers about the dinner, from what I was able to gather from raws:
- Robin will dress up and get his hair done lol such cutie in love <3
- we get to see more of Robin blushing bc of Hangyul
- I don't know what they talked about over dinner, but I know Hangyul drinks alcohol and Robin gets a taxi/the substitute driver thing Korea has for them to get home.
- Hangyul seems to be passed out in the car and blushing Robin keeps holding his hand during the car ride (interlocking fingers!!!)
This is what I remember at least, haha.
Anyways now that I get to understand what's happening Robin is making it SO OBVIOUS, Hangyul my man I trust that you will be able to recognise this change in his behaviour bc c'mon

I was wondering about why no one was able to recognise Almond despite being so famous only a decade ago, but it makes sense now. He definitely would've been remembered had he told people why he had to quit archery, as people tend to remember tragedies quite well, but because he pretended to quit bc "it's not fun anymore", people wouldn't pay as much mind to it. They wouldn't care, because it just seemed like the whims of an 18-year old.
But also, if the one analysing Almond's archery is a former archer and knew Almond, wouldn't they recognise him from his streams? Who knows. They might not be someone he knows, but knowing how these stories usually tend to go, the likely do.
I do love that the author keeps actively showing us that Mi-Rye really is into Kyungbin, as some may feel that the way they got together was sort of forced (even if Mi-Rye told Kyungbin that wasn't the case). It's also nice to see that for Mi-Rye his actions tend to show how much he cares for others rather than just words/expressions - because he also typically has just a few expressions, I love it when Kyungbin gets him yo make any others lol.
I love our main boys, but I sort of prefer these two, haha. They have such fun interactions. I hope we get to see more of the "oh fuck he's hot" from Mi-Rye when Kyungbin is more serious/sporty/shows off his strenght (think back to where Kyungbin was about to hit Mi-Rye), because hell yeah, I love it when otherwise confident-seeming characters lose some of that composure.
