People really out here ignoring the fact that Reizen was already considerably older than her when they met in her previous life, never mind this one - AND he's a friend of her current self's father! Sure, we may know her true age but if he were to try to get with her, ew, red flags

I get it y'all are tired of the CP route, I get it I really do, but this story isn't giving that feel to it as much since their dynamics together is interesting imo :") either way there's no way I could prefer Reizen when I know these facts, even if I was initially hoping for him

It does seem like the twin is a dude, just looking at how they're drawn compared to MC and Elaine/elf (another gender confuser). I was really hoping for a girl to get added to the cast of main characters,,, I'm not really a fan of reverse harems and their vibes, even if the other male characters won't be romantically interested in MC but still be very attached. Just one other girl is enough, please, then i wouldn't care if all of them are super attached to her I just don't want them all to be men and men only

I could still be wrong on the twin but looking at how their chest is super flat and has no shape (again, compare with MC) + Elaine's reaction I'm pretty sure I'm right.

While I was hoping they wouldn't die, this is the reality of war. We did get to see death flags as readers, but death is often sudden and unexpected. I also think that this was needed to show/remind us just how difficult and brutal this "game" is, and that we can't expect the characters to survive just because they became more important.

I'm fearing that at least one of the higher-ranked characters will die during this battle too, but I really hope not. I'm attached to all of them and it would suck to see any one of them just die like that, but at the same time, I know it'd be another reminder for the characters and us readers that things aren't going to be easy. :(

Alrighty. As of chapter 20, we've met two out of the three - Crown Prince and the merchant/Count. From the beginning, these two were higher on my list as being the true ML, simply for the most common rofan trope - the romantic pairings rarely share similar enough hair colours, never mind the same hair colour. So while I'm still waiting to see how the Tower Master and MC interact, my bets on him are low, as unfortunately both him and current Erne are blonde.

The merchant/Count drew me in initially for being interesting, seemingly dressing up completely different to the rest of the characters/world. I had doubts about him though, as according to the description, he treats Erne (blonde) like a child, and that would be difficult to break. When I read that he knows/is friends with Erne's father, that's when I said nope to him being the true ML. This was only strenghtened when we saw a memory of Erne (redhead) where she met him for the first time when she was a child and he an adult. It DID raise the curiousity in me on how old this man is, is it the art style or could he be some sort of immortal? (Lol) or doe something about being a high-ranker make one age slower? Either way, I reject him as a true ML.


Now, as for the Crown Prince... he definitely seems like the best option so far. He keeps missing - longing for, even - Erne (redhead) after months of her death, to the point of being unable to sleep properly ever since. We've seen him having a really interesting relationship/dynamic with her in the past, and not only that, he was very quick to recognise Erne in her new body when they met. Sure, he hasn't made the complete connection, but I can see him being able to realise it/actually believe the truth of what happened and accept it. Even if he doesn't realise it, it's clear he felt some sort of attraction towards Erne (redhead), possibly as far as loving her to a degree. At the very least, it's something more than "I want this talented individual on my side". Plus I'm a sucker for the trope where everyone is scared of character 1 (for good reasons) yet character 2 keeps messing with/annoying/teasing them (even if they're scared as well). ╮(￣▽￣)╭


Either way, these are just my thoughts and feelings so far on the matter. Really interested to see where this goes though! I am still wondering about how the title is related to the story, the 24h bit feels somewhat unrelated.

Ok so I've been thinking about this from preeetty early on. What if Ella is related to the crown prince? Cousins at least, maybe siblings- twins, even? They both have blond hair, and sure that may not mean anything, but something in my veteran rofan reader senses are tingling lol

I mean, she is pretty mysterious for being stuck in the outskirts, having mysterious items around, as well as being incredibly strong. Ella herself wondered why her character was never mentioned in the story. I think it'd make sense if she was someone super important actually without knowing

And imo it would make the scenes where she's cussing out the crown prince even funnier :"D

Reading about so many shitty MLs have put my standards on the lowest of lows, wdym I'm happy to see the emperor is being nice and looking out for her/caring for her BEFORE falling in love with her???

Too bad he has to be a tsundere about it and wants to pretend he doesn't care for her but her powers/help. Hoping he becomes more honest sooon (￣∇￣")

If only the spirit had realised to try to act otherwose and ask Leehan casually to put out the flame, I'm sure out boy would've been able to do it ╮(￣▽￣)╭ though I get his panic since he knows nothing of Leehan, I can imagine him getting upset if he finds out he was worried for nothing and made the contract

Okay, first of all, just beware that going through the novelupdates forum for this series was kind of a chore, as there is a lot of discussion and deep explanations of some of the early chapters of the novel, and there wasn't really any organised spoilers I tend to see a lot of the time. If you want to go read them yourself, go ahead.

Sidenote: I'm using Yehwa's title of Emperor here, don't be confused, I'm still talking about her.

I found two comments mentioning this, so I'd assume this spoiler is true, but take it with a huge grain of salt, as both commentors mention MTL and reading it from a comment elsewhere. According to the spoiler, this story is using the 3rd life trope.

The "og novel" was their first life. The Emperor felt guilty about Sanya's death, thus we get the whole reincarnation thing.

Second life was in modern Korea. Both the Emperor and Sanya were reborn as a single mother and daughter, but the mother ended up dying first.

We finally get to their third life, which is what we've been following so far. I don't know if the Emperor knows this truth or not. The forum seemed to say that no, the two aren't biologically related in this life.

Honestly him still calling Seyeong noona threw me off so much like please why can't you change it to hyung idc what you do in-game, sure that makes sense bc of his avatar, but why do you have to keep doing it irl

I do love that the author keeps actively showing us that Mi-Rye really is into Kyungbin, as some may feel that the way they got together was sort of forced (even if Mi-Rye told Kyungbin that wasn't the case). It's also nice to see that for Mi-Rye his actions tend to show how much he cares for others rather than just words/expressions - because he also typically has just a few expressions, I love it when Kyungbin gets him yo make any others lol.

I love our main boys, but I sort of prefer these two, haha. They have such fun interactions. I hope we get to see more of the "oh fuck he's hot" from Mi-Rye when Kyungbin is more serious/sporty/shows off his strenght (think back to where Kyungbin was about to hit Mi-Rye), because hell yeah, I love it when otherwise confident-seeming characters lose some of that composure.
