I feel like the author is super spontaneous and has no script and just let's the story float wherever her day dreams take her but in the end it really works out... the story seems so dynamic and engaging. Most authors change the story throughout the working progress but it often does not work out well but here it just works. Though mentally I'm still at the kissing scene from last season's end lmao. And in the story that was only like 3 weeks ago!! We basically had Yiyoung kissing Kang, Kang wanting to turn him down, Kang going on a business trip for 2 weeks and Yiyoung becoming a model, Yiyoung being unavailable and Kang getting desperate, Kang having complicated thoughts all the fucking time and now Kang actually wanting to date Yiyoung but doesn't want to hold him back....... We went from dinner plans where Kang wanted to turn Yiyoung down to the same dinner plans where Kang wanted to ask Yiyoung out (but didn't do so because he is insecure or whateva). I'm like...... girl this is a rollercoaster. I wonder if this is a plot hole (which in this case i don't mind because I love the spontaneous dynamic story telling) or if it's just how Kang's character is... because he is complicated like that. I'm guessing it's that because when Yiyoung was the narrator last season the story telling was very consistent... since Kang took over it's a fucking mess. But I absolutely love it because it shows that he is flawed and not just the perfect dream guy character. It makes him realistic and on top of that it really fits his rational problem solving personality type. I also think Kang is one of the best written male lead/seme characters... it's like the perfect "what a woman wants" depiction (not that there is a standard for that, but still pretty much to a T when it comes to his type) but also realistically flawed but even those flaws are cute... idk man the author is high-key a genius

Omg wait- I didn't realise this got picked up already! And there are even two scanlation teams translating this lmao I love it tho, you can read it twice and understand it even better because there are 2 versions of the dialogue. You can find snow flower scans version (who also did For Your Love) on mangadx!

Yuan girl.... you act like a house husband for almost a year and then you have the nerve to be surprised when he tells you he's gay and is about to confess. Huan Wen obviously thought he had at least a little chance but you are still as oblivious as always.... actually, you were quite perceptive when it came to Huan Wen's loneliness and conflicted feelings so I blame it on your insecurities that make you believe no one will ever like you which makes you completely ignorant to other people's feelings towards you... then again I do wonder what that confession at the school festival was about....
I'm so glad I picked this story up.. it's my favorite at the moment. Read this if you are a sucker for japanese historical drama/stories! It has the classic plot points but with a fresh spin on it. And I find it so engaging, art-wise too, kinda like watching a movie. I didn't have that feeling with a manga in a very long time.
