His past experiences are very clearly influencing his decisions and actions.. by trying to give Heeseo unconditional love and accept him as he is the way he wishes someone had done so for him. He's trying to fill a hole in himself. I'm not saying what he's doing is right, but I do think he deserves more grace. They both need to be in therapy instead of licking each other's wounds.
