it's simple and complicated at the same time. It does a good job at portraying what it's like for two people with very different personalities to navigate such a long term relationship. Nothing is over the top and exaggerated for the sake of drama or adding toxicity to the plot. Any relationship is bound to have ups and downs, that's how you can tell if you should/can stay with someone for the long haul - if you can both communicate and get through the issues together or not. Every now and then a realistic piece like this is like a breath of fresh air!

If you're not ready to say the "ily" sentence and your partner keeps pressuring you ab it, it's understandable that it would make it unbearable at some point for MC. But he's well aware that it's difficult for ML as well and that's why they broke up, bc this situation made it hard for them both.

that's definitely a good point. And I totally understand not being ready to say "I love you" to your partner, but a little communication could have easily solved that. If that really was the issue, mc should have been honest and told ML that he feels pressured and go from there. But mc didn't even bother to explain anything to him and just broke it off.
ML is obviously the playful type. If mc finds that annoying then he shouldn't be with him in the first place, their personalities aren't compatible. So for me personally the lack of communication and honesty is what's most frustrating.
Oh I agree that communication would solve it. But lack or miscommunication is very much realistic and even if you want to you sometimes don't for stupid reasons (like ego and such). So I just think sometimes it's unfair to be so harsh with characters when we ourselves are definitely not perfect irl.
