first of all, we love supportive friends! "I don't discriminate! cuz I'm your bestest bestie" also, Aoba's is completely valid and makes sense.. I'd be torn too if I was him, given their relationship even if not blood related. He could have communicated better tho. But I also understand mc is a young airhead so idk how much logic and rational would work with him lol
nonetheless, mark me interested. curious to see what happens next

idk why, but I find mc's blockheaded-ness quite annoying. he hasn't really done anything wrong necessarily.. can't quite put a finger on what's bugging me but something about him annoys me lol I wanna see him chasing the ml!
also, that friend better not fcking open his mouth and expose his secret. that'll piss me off!

oh my god THAT'S EXACTLY IT!!! thank you! All of his interactions with ml also feel insincere.. like, he was curious and amused but nothing felt genuine! we'll see how the rest of the story develops, but as of right now he still annoys me and I can't bring myself to like him as a love interest for ml

I'm trying very hard not to take this seriously because at this point everything that's happening is fcking idiotic.. but every time seme opens his mouth my blood pressure rises. He's such a complete fcking asshole!!!!!! zero character development. scum of the earth! I'm so disappointed in Garam for putting up with this shit. No matter how good the sex is, how can you stand a piece of shit like him that's constantly degrading and mocking you?? let alone him becoming a "love" interest??

the art is so pretty, and plot is so far pretty okay though we don't know much about anything or anyone yet. why do these poor ukes always have to be poor and get sexually assaulted because of it?! being poor doesn't make anyone any less human! the rich asshole tropes are so frustrating

Making Uke poor and endebted is an easy way to build a yaoi plot without having much researchs to do in terms of concept or background.
Although a lazy plot, it can still work if the art is good, ml is hot and his dynamics with mc is interesting - which is also the case in Cry me a River. It's an easy setting, fast development and smut comes fast cause Uke won't have any choice but sell his body to save the day; preferably sleeping with a Hot and tall rich guy because this is BL Yaoi and it's for the phantasm.
The art does also a lot, cause if these stories weren't illustrated with nice art, they wouldn't be so pupolar.
So yeah, that's how we get SO MANY Korean Yaoi with practically the same pattern...

this seme is the same exact kind of trash as Haejoon from "Whats the possibility of a successful love". This shit better not be forgiven easily!!! I want a long and painful groveling arc. nobody gives a fck that you fell in love in the midst of your trickery and heinous scheming. absolutely no self reflection or apology?! they always only start to feel bad once they're exposed..
Dear Hwirim, this is not the time to let your feelings cloud your judgment. you better give him a taste of his own medicine!
I usually dislike the naive helpless pushover types myself, but context makes a difference in each case. In this story, I don't blame mc for anything at all and he doesn't irritate me one bit. if anything I just feel pity and really sad for him.. trauma can be soul crushing, and I'm sure he has reasons for being so scared, insecure, and obviously lacks confidence at work. On top of that, he's essentially being blackmailed by a person of power and authority, someone who's the exact opposite of him so theres a huge intimidation factor as well. To make matters worse, the said man is demanding things of him that he probably has no knowledge of, let alone experience. All that without proper communication or consent. It's also very likely that he's never even made properly made love before or experiencd sexual pleasure. I also have a feeling he's been sexually assaulted in the past, so anyone in his shoe would be fcking scared and traumatized.
Very well said. This is one of the few instances where the “pushover whiny Mc” makes sense and is embedded in a story where his actions so far make sense. While the scenario overall is a bit more on the fictional side, his reactions to it all in (addition to what we have learned about him) are quite realistic and reasonable.
exactly! 100%. I wish for his happiness and healing... and for him to get out of this shitty situation with as little damage and trauma as possible
